Agents
The cloud workspace MCP endpoint is https://mcp.alshival.ai/workspace/mcp/. Configure an OAuth-capable client with this URL and complete the portal consent flow; do not invent a client secret. API-key clients use a permitted Bearer credential.
Manage and revoke connections in Account → API & MCP. Tool availability and execution depend on live workspace permissions and service grants. Use workspace discovery before selecting an ID; do not assume a connection sees every workspace.
Desktop also offers a local stdio MCP through alshitasks mcp. Inspect alshitasks mcp --help for the installed version's grant and read-only options. Local agent access is distinct from cloud OAuth and from resource-log ingestion.
For application logging, use the REST or OTLP examples in this guide. No direct public Alshival chat-message REST endpoint is advertised by the current API.
| Connection | Transport | Authentication |
|---|---|---|
| Alshival.Ai portal | https://mcp.alshival.ai/workspace/mcp/ |
OAuth or a permitted cloud bearer credential. |
| Alshitask desktop | Local stdio, using the configuration in Settings | Local-owner access, --read-only, or a scoped grant. |
| Alshitask server preview |
https://YOUR_SERVER/mcp (or the configured loopback origin) |
Named bearer token created by that server's owner. |
In the server preview, open Settings > Remote MCP access. Read access is the default. Enable edits only when the assistant needs them, choose an expiry if appropriate, and copy the generated configuration while the token is shown. Revoke a token from the same panel. Server MCP currently uses bearer credentials, not an OAuth sign-in flow; the browser's owner session is a separate credential.
The Alshival Local companion helps a desktop assistant connect to the local app. Portal assistant access and optional desktop-to-portal synchronization are separate connections.
Once connected, try: "List my workspaces, then summarize the tasks in progress on my launch board." Select the intended workspace before asking for edits. For a visual walkthrough, see Your first board.
