Screenshot Booster 1.1.0
Screenshot Booster 1.1.0 adds local text and QR recognition in a separate results window and improves the editor controls.
Added
- Control-Shift-4: select an area and recognize text and QR codes together. The shortcut is configurable in Settings.
- Recognition from thumbnail and editor menus, including current crop and edits.
- Local Apple Vision recognition for English, Russian, and other supported languages, with support for multiple QR codes.
- A standalone results window with editable text, Copy Text, individual QR copying, Copy All, and Open Link for web addresses. Recognition does not open the screenshot editor.
Fixed
- The cursor returns to an arrow over editor controls and empty space, including at high zoom.
- Style and action controls show hover feedback.
- The Save button matches the height of the adjacent toolbar capsules.
- Capture requests reserve their state before asynchronous work; cancelled recognition cannot affect a later capture.
Download
Download ScreenshotBooster-1.1.0-universal.dmg, open it, and drag Screenshot Booster into Applications.
- macOS 26 or later.
- Universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel.
- Ad-hoc signed; not Apple-notarized. macOS may require approval in Privacy & Security on first launch, and Screen Recording permission may need to be granted again after updating.
- A SHA-256 checksum is included as a separate asset.
Validation
The installer is built by GitHub Actions from the release commit. The pipeline checks repository privacy, builds both architectures, runs the regression suite, and packages the DMG. The downloaded installer is verified for its embedded version, architectures, and code signature before publication.
All 264 checks passed.
