DiskBloom 0.1.0 Preview

DiskBloom's first preview brings visual disk analysis and a reviewed cleanup workflow to a native macOS app. Explore a radial map, inspect files with Quick Look, and collect items before choosing what to remove.

Download and install

• Apple Silicon only (arm64); macOS 14+ target. Tested locally on macOS 26.6.2.
• Download DiskBloom-0.1.0-arm64.dmg, open it, and drag DiskBloom into Applications. The ZIP contains the same app bundle.
• This preview is signed ad hoc and is not Developer ID notarized. If macOS blocks launch, follow Apple's guidance for opening an app you trust. Permissions are granted manually in System Settings.
• Verify a download using the attached .sha256 file: shasum -a 256 -c DiskBloom-0.1.0-arm64.sha256 from the directory containing both archives.

Included

• Local, external, and mounted network disks; folder scans with progress and cancellation.
• Interactive sunburst map, folder history, search, large-file lists, allocated/logical sizes, and CSV/JSON export.
• Quick Look, Finder reveal, and a drag-and-drop collection. Local removal defaults to Trash, with confirmation, a cancellable countdown, and checks for changes before removal.
• Read-only administrator scanning, APFS snapshot inspection, and purgeable Time Machine snapshot management through system tools.
• Bundled rclone 1.75.1 for optional Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Box connections, metadata scans, and selected-file previews up to 200 MB.
• Russian and English interface; original code and artwork under MIT.

Verification and limits

36 automated tests passed locally, including real-rclone tests on isolated local data and read-only worker checks. Local UI checks covered scan navigation, search, Quick Look, collection selection, and CSV export. The app signature, DMG, ZIP, and SHA-256 were verified.

This is a prerelease, not a claim of full DaisyDisk parity. APFS clone shared-block deduplication and individual snapshot sizes are not implemented. Live cloud OAuth, administrator authorization, Intel, and minimum-macOS compatibility still need verification. Deletion checks are not a transactional filesystem lock. Cloud deletion follows provider rules and may be permanent. Reports contain filenames and paths; inspect them before sharing.

MouseCraft 0.2.1

MouseCraft now uses English throughout the app and installer instructions.

Changes

• English settings, menus, accessibility labels, diagnostics, action names, shortcut recording, and error messages.
• English declared as the supported app language for system-provided controls.
• English installation instructions in the DMG and installer messages.
• Existing settings, app profiles, and button assignments remain compatible.

Download and install

Choose the universal DMG or PKG below. Both include Apple Silicon and Intel binaries and require macOS 13 or later. Quit the previous copy before updating. The PKG installs in /Applications; the DMG supports dragging the app into Applications. SHA-256 checksums are included.

Open Overview to configure Accessibility and Input Monitoring manually in macOS System Settings. Enable MouseCraft and check for Processing is active. For native middle-button canvas panning, turn off Buttons & Gestures → Enable Buttons & Gestures.

Validation and limitations

All 43 automated tests pass. The English interface and system save panel were checked in the installed app. Universal signatures, DMG contents, PKG contents, checksums, and preservation of saved settings were verified.

This remains an early release. Trackpads and wheels that send continuous input pass through unchanged. Native pinch, Smart Zoom, and swipes are experimental; interactive Spaces transitions and per-device profiles are not implemented. Intel hardware has not been tested directly.

MouseCraft 0.2.0

MouseCraft is a new, fully free mouse utility in the utils_mac collection. This is its first public release, version 0.2.0.

Downloads

• MouseCraft-0.2.0-universal.dmg — drag MouseCraft into Applications.
• MouseCraft-0.2.0-universal.pkg — installer that places the app in /Applications.
• MouseCraft-0.2.0-universal.sha256 — SHA-256 checksums for both installers.

Both installers contain Apple Silicon (arm64) and Intel (x86_64) binaries. Requires macOS 13 or later. The current interface is in Russian.

Included

• Smooth wheel scrolling, configurable speed and direction, and slow-wheel precision.
• Configurable keyboard modifiers for horizontal scrolling, zoom, speed, and precision.
• Click, hold, drag, and held-wheel assignments; presets for three- and five-button mice.
• Independent button/gesture switch: disable interception to restore native middle-button panning in web canvases while smooth scrolling stays enabled. Assignments are retained.
• Per-application profiles and exclusions, validated JSON import/export, menu bar pause, and launch at login.
• Native macOS settings toolbar, grouped forms, ⌘1–⌘5 navigation, reduced-motion/transparency support, and expandable diagnostics.
• Clear connection status and automatic permission checks.
• Experimental native pinch, Smart Zoom, swipe, and phased-scroll modes.

First launch

Quit any previous MouseCraft copy, install the app, eject the DMG, and launch the copy in Applications. In Обзор / Overview, use the permission buttons to grant Accessibility and Input Monitoring in System Settings. Enable MouseCraft and check that the status says Обработка работает. Pause other mouse utilities before enabling processing.

To keep normal middle-button dragging on a website, switch off Кнопки и жесты → Включить кнопки и жесты.

Release status

This is an early release, signed ad hoc and not Developer ID notarized. macOS may block the first launch; use Apple's guidance for opening an app you trust. Updates may require re-enabling permissions.

Continuous input from trackpads, Magic Mouse, and high-resolution wheels passes through unchanged. Native gestures are experimental and depend on the receiving app. Interactive Spaces transitions and per-device profiles are not implemented. Hardware and app compatibility need testing on the intended device; this release is not claimed to have complete Mac Mouse Fix feature parity.

Verification

43 automated tests passed for configuration, scrolling, gesture routing, button bypass, and native event decoding. Both architecture slices, app signatures, DMG integrity, PKG payload/install location, and installer checksums were verified. Automated tests do not post input events or grant permissions; Intel hardware was not tested directly.

MouseCraft is MIT licensed. No trial, subscription, account, telemetry, or license checks. Screenshot Booster remains available through its separate releases in the same repository.

Screenshot Booster 1.1.0 adds local text and QR recognition in a separate results window and improves the editor controls.

• Control-Shift-4: select an area and recognize text and QR codes together. The shortcut is configurable in Settings.
• Recognition from thumbnail and editor menus, including current crop and edits.
• Local Apple Vision recognition for English, Russian, and other supported languages, with support for multiple QR codes.
• A standalone results window with editable text, Copy Text, individual QR copying, Copy All, and Open Link for web addresses. Recognition does not open the screenshot editor.

Fixed

• The cursor returns to an arrow over editor controls and empty space, including at high zoom.
• Style and action controls show hover feedback.
• The Save button matches the height of the adjacent toolbar capsules.
• Capture requests reserve their state before asynchronous work; cancelled recognition cannot affect a later capture.

Screenshot Booster 1.0.1

Screenshot Booster 1.0.1 fixes displaced screenshots and black areas in the editor when drawing contexts use different display scales or origins.

Fixed

• Keep screenshot content aligned with the canvas, annotations, and crop boundaries.
• Use the drawing context's pixel density for cached images.
• Rebuild the image cache when the editor moves between displays with different backing scales.

171 rendering, annotation, zoom, and canvas checks passed against the release commit, including simulated 1×/2× display contexts, shifted/flipped origins, cropping, and zoom up to 1600%. The disk image and app signature were verified. Physical multi-monitor behavior still needs user verification.
