FieldScreen TV is a 16:9 NFL control room for Linux desktops and a Steam Deck docked to a TV.

This first preview includes IPTV playback and XMLTV guide discovery:

  • M3U URL/file import and Xtream provider login.
  • Automatic XMLTV guide discovery, with a field for your own guide URL.
  • Search teams, games, and channels; filter groups, Football, RedZone, and On now.
  • Current/upcoming provider listings linked to playable channels.
  • HLS and HTTP MPEG-TS playback, four-screen and 1+3 layouts, game + data combinations, and one active audio feed.
  • Players remain alive when moved between panes; hidden feeds stop in smaller layouts.
  • Optional provider storage using an available Linux system keyring. Browser preview credentials stay in memory only.
  • FieldScreen’s new penguin/football logo, stadium/night themes, detailed sample fields, and Xbox-style controller navigation.

Steam Deck / Linux: download the .AppImage, allow it to run as a program, and add it to Steam as a Non-Steam Game. It runs natively on Linux; do not force Proton. The portable .tar.gz is an alternative if AppImage mounting is unavailable.

Open Connect IPTV, add your M3U or Xtream details and XMLTV URL, choose a channel for each screen, then open Watch wall. Enter credentials in the app, never in GitHub issues.

Preview limits

NFL scores, standings, fields, and Director events are still sample data. XMLTV is provider schedule data, not a live score feed. Four streams normally require four allowed provider connections. Codec support, provider-specific authentication, and actual device performance vary. DRM streams, UDP/RTSP, direct Apple TV/Android TV apps, and wireless casting are not implemented. Your provider and physical Steam Deck/Xbox/TV setup have not yet been verified.

The automated checks cover provider imports, XMLTV matching, stream proxying, credential-storage policy, controller navigation, and player reuse. The Linux AppImage starts with the sandbox and local IPTV service enabled. SHA256SUMS is included for checking downloads.
