Installation

Before starting to create an Ionic Application the following steps have to be done:

First Install Node.js

                     https://nodejs.org/en/

Once installed inside the Node.js prompt type:

                    npm install -g cordova ionic

After installing Ionic & Cordova type:

                 cd desktop
                 Ionic start myapp blank

This will create a blank template folder on your desktop called "myapp". You can now begin creating your application, I chose the editor Brackets which can be downloaded from

              http://brackets.io/

After you have started creating your application you can view it by:

                 cd desktop
                 cd myapp
                 ionic serve   

To Add platforms to your application:

                 cd desktop
                 cd myapp
                 ionic platform add ios
                 ionic platform add android

To build and run the application on Android first the android SDK has to be installed from:

                  https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html

To view and run it on an android phone the following steps should be followed:

                 cd desktop
                 cd myapp
                 ionic build android
                 ionic run android
