v0.2.7
db284a3

0.2.7

  • A cleaner start: just New Image, Open and your recent projects — the tools appear once an image is open.

0.2.6

  • Export to TIFF, BMP and ICO (icons) as well as PNG, JPEG and TGA.
  • Choose compression when exporting: PNG colour count and "smallest file", JPEG quality, TIFF Deflate, TGA RLE — with the file size shown before you save.
  • Changing the colour of text and shapes works again, with a new colour picker (recent colours, hex codes, quick swatches).
  • Text stays editable: painting goes on a new layer, the Paint Bucket recolours text, and anything that would turn it into pixels asks first.
  • Change a text's colour, font or size while you type it, without leaving the text.

0.2.5

  • The editor now always fills the whole window, windowed and in fullscreen.

0.2.4

  • Help → Show Diagnostics shows window and layout sizes (to help track down display problems)

0.2.3

  • Fixed: pEdit now always fills its window — maximised, resized or fullscreen

0.2.2

  • Help → What's New shows the changelog any time, and pEdit shows what changed the first time you open a new version

0.2.1

  • ⌘F Find — ask how to do something in plain English or Swedish ("what tool can I use to resize this?") and run the answer
  • Updates now open a popup at launch showing everything that's new, with an Update button
  • File → Open Recent, and recent files on the start screen
  • Colour themes (View → Theme): Dark, Light, Midnight, Monokai, Dracula, Nord, Solarized, or match your Mac
  • Generate random themes, save your own and share them with a code
  • Smoother feel: subtle animations for menus, dialogs and buttons, and gliding zoom
  • Fixed: the layout now fills the screen after entering fullscreen
  • New Text tool (T) — type on the canvas with any font, colour, outline stroke and drop shadow; click text to edit it later
  • New Shape tool (U) — rectangles, rounded rectangles, ellipses, lines and arrows, polygons and stars
  • Text and shapes stay sharp when you resize them
  • Layer → Align to Canvas or Selection
