anyCreature 1.3.2

@Ariescar Ariescar released this 21 Sep 14:16

The creature declares what its parts are for, and the engine checks it.

  • Every chain declares its function (axis / locomotion / effector / ornament).
  • Every joint declares its range per axis; the engine sweeps each bound against
    the body and blocks a limit the body cannot reach.
  • Every part is named, and part_spans records which vertices each part owns.
  • Mirrored animation tracks are resampled instead of shifted — mirrored limbs no
    longer freeze partway through a cycle.
  • New checks: gait_footfall, effector_leads, attack_windup, self_clip,
    clip_closes, ground_clip, body_islands.
  • Containment is measured against the real surface, not a sphere per ring;
    part_overlap is measured against real surfaces, not bounding boxes.
  • Gate 1 matches the reader's words against the brief's accepted list.
  • No browser anywhere: every measure is computed from the vertices, and
    hero.png is projected from the baked colours.
  • autofix.mjs applies ground offset, loop closure and aim compensation before a
    round is spent.

anyCreature 1.2.0

@Ariescar Ariescar released this 21 Sep 14:16

First public release.

  • Stage cards for MID (part identity) and HIGH (colour under four norms, three
    animations: idle / move / attack), and a delivery card that asks before sharing.
  • Per-vertex ambient occlusion baked into the file at compile time.
  • Angle-weighted vertex normals with a smoothing angle; faceted bodies are blocked,
    faceted parts are allowed.
  • Spec-level shading: one gradient and one noise field over the whole body.
  • Checks: attack reach, declared touches between chains, part interpenetration.
  • Public bone naming, one primitive per material, and the harness version stamped
    into every file.

@Ariescar Ariescar released this 21 Sep 14:16

Reads are scored, the brief is checked, and everything computable is computed.

  • Gate 1 is scored by rank and view count instead of one exact word.
  • Silhouettes are produced from the geometry; no browser in the LOW loop.
  • value_order and contrast_adjacent replace the colour read; MID spends no reader.
  • brief.py checks the brief for presence before the first round.
  • New engine checks: soft_mass, gait_direction, root_drive. The L1–L8 shading
    stack runs inside the engine on every build.
  • fit.py applies the arithmetic corrections the engine prints, before a round is
    spent.
  • Publishing hands back a share link, a claim link and a one-time takedown code;
    the claim link is checked before it is shown.
