Matched Kanto Gear host

This release reconstructs the complete Kanto Gear host on the exact upstream
Gen1Recomp 0.1.94 release and carries the same payload across Android,
Windows, Linux and PortMaster/Rocknix.

What changed

  • Single-window game viewport composition for side-by-side, stacked, overlay
    and fullscreen-swap layouts.
  • A separate desktop companion window for true multi-display setups.
  • Reconnect-safe Android companion displays, selectable routing and live screen
    swapping.
  • Android touch controls stay in full OS-window space instead of shrinking with
    the game viewport or disappearing behind an overlay.
  • Generation-aware battle, field-action, map and input bridges used by Kanto
    Gear in Red, Blue, Yellow and Gold.
  • The incompatible upstream self-update path remains disabled; normal mod
    update checks still work.

Install

  • Android: install gen1recomp-android-0.1.94-kanto.22.apk over the existing
    Gen1Recomp Android Test app. Do not uninstall first.
  • Windows: extract gen1recomp-0.1.94-kanto.22-windows.zip into a fresh
    folder and run gen1recomp.exe.
  • Linux x86_64: extract gen1recomp-0.1.94-kanto.22-linux.zip, make the
    AppImage executable and launch it.
  • Linux ARM64: make
    gen1recomp-0.1.94-kanto.22-linux-arm64.AppImage executable and launch it.
  • PortMaster / Rocknix ARM64: extract
    gen1recomp-0.1.94-kanto.22-sbc-portmaster.zip into the PortMaster ports
    directory and follow its included README.
  • Other LÖVE desktops, including macOS: run
    gen1recomp-0.1.94-kanto.22.love with LÖVE 11.5. This advanced package is
    intentionally not presented as a signed native macOS app.
  • Install Kanto Gear 2.0.0
    through the in-app mod importer.

Verified

  • Final APK: package io.github.averageconsumer.gen1recomp.androidtest,
    versionCode 201, versionName 0.1.94-kanto.22, embedded engine 0.1.94.
  • APK signatures v1/v2/v3 verify with the established AverageConsumer release
    certificate (A4:00:BE:2A…).
  • Engine: 176/177 suites passed. The only failure is the known Windows
    find.exe/Unix-tool probe, not a runtime failure.
  • Modkit: 23/23 suites passed.
  • The complete embedded feature inventory was read back from the signed APK.
  • The Windows executable was verified as the official LÖVE 11.5 runtime plus
    the exact same game.love embedded in the APK.
  • Both Linux AppImages were unpacked after packaging and their embedded
    game.love was verified byte-for-byte against the APK payload.
  • The PortMaster package was checked file-for-file against that payload and
    retains executable launcher permissions. Its dual-screen architecture was
    previously confirmed on an RG DS running Rocknix; this final 2.0 package is
    still awaiting community confirmation.
  • Final Android and Windows artifacts were confirmed with Kanto Gear 2.0.0 on
    an AYN Thor and Windows 11, including combined and separate-window modes.

No ROM, ROM-derived data or save is included. This is an unofficial matched
test host, not an official Gen1Recomp release.
