AyCode 7.2.1

Desktop 7.2.1

Agents can now use your computer and hand work to each other, AyCode speaks English on English systems, and a new design puts your work on a calm stage. Two chats fit side by side, dictation understands corrections, and a long list of fixes makes stopping, saving and team sessions dependable.

Highlights

  • Agents that use your computer. Turn on "Computer steuern" in a chat and the agent, whichever provider it runs on, can read the front window, take screenshots, click, type, scroll and open apps. It is off in every chat until you switch it on and off again after a restart. While an agent acts, a bar sits above all windows and the screen edge glows; Esc stops it. Sending, deleting, paying, publishing, installing, terminals, line breaks in typed text and system settings always ask you first. AyCode itself, keychains, password managers and password fields are off limits. Works on macOS and Windows, and on Linux with an X11 desktop.
  • Agents that hand off work. An agent can give a task to Codex, Claude, Cline, OpenCode or an Ayling. The task gets its own chat, marked in the sidebar with a way back, and the report comes back to the agent that asked. A task never gets more rights than the chat that gave it.
  • AyCode in English. On an English system the whole app speaks English: chat, sidebar, start screen, onboarding, settings, Second Brain, AyNotes, Aylinge, group chats, the Council of Five, phone and team sessions. Dates and times follow your system. German stays exactly as it was.
  • A new look. The window is a quiet frame, and your chat, start screen and every view sit on one rounded stage inside it. The Inter typeface ships with AyCode, so the app reads the same on macOS, Windows and Linux.
  • Two chats side by side, or a chat in its own window. Open a chat beside the current one from the sidebar menu, with ⌥-click or ⌥⌘S. Any chat can also get a window of its own.
  • Dictation that writes what you meant. Filler sounds go, and a correction said out loud ("two, no, three") replaces what it corrects. Spoken shortcuts expand a phrase into your address, a link or a signature (Settings › AyNotes). Mark text in the composer and dictate an instruction, and the marked text is rewritten.
  • Your pull request's CI in the chat. The chat shows whether the checks of its pull request pass. When one fails, the agent gets the failure in one short line and can fix it.

Improved

  • Find in chat. ⌘F finds a word in the open chat, also in thinking and tool output, and walks between the hits.
  • A full Mac menu bar. Settings (⌘,), check for updates, new chat, quick question, dictation, every sidebar place, the panels, and help with the docs, the community and "Report a problem".
  • Team sessions. The host can hand the session to someone else in it, retire an invite link with "Neuer Link" without taking anyone out, and bring a chat of their own into the session after everyone agrees to share its history. You can read a note in someone else's vault once its owner allows it. Every refusal says what to do next.
  • Aylinge from the chat. Chat agents can create and change Aylinge with a tool; an existing Ayling changes only after you accept the card.
  • Group chats. Edit your own message and the group answers the new words. "Zusammenfassen" sums up where the group stands.
  • Modules walled in on macOS. Module programs run in a sandbox: no access to your home folder, writing only in their own folder, network only with the "network" permission. A program that cannot be walled in does not start.
  • AyNotes. The start page shows one quiet line instead of number tiles and a streak.

Fixed

  • Stop means stop. Stopping an agent now also ends the shells, dev servers and MCP servers it started, on every system. A crashed app server ends the answer instead of leaving it hanging.
  • Long chats keep their task. When older history must be trimmed, the first request stays, because it usually says what the chat is about.
  • Dictation stays on. A stuck take, a crashed dictation pill or a flaky key helper no longer turns dictation off, and the last word is kept.
  • Saving on Windows. Saves survive a file that another program holds open for a moment.
  • Steadier under failure. Group chats, the limit guard, sync, cloud requests and phone connections hold when something fails, and the message queue survives a crash.
  • Team sessions. Invite links, sleep and closing work the same on every system, a takeover no longer waits 90 seconds for code that already arrived, and a runner's own words never read as someone else's.
  • Interface. Deleted chats leave no empty tabs, chat titles keep their room, the model chip stays whole, the status island sits in the chat header, and in a narrow window a chat beside a note no longer slides past the edge.
  • Projects in hidden folders. Projects inside a folder that starts with a dot (such as a worktree in .worktrees) keep their file tools. Undo keeps files that had no snapshot yet.

Notes

  • First launch on a Mac: not notarized by Apple yet. If macOS blocks AyCode, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose "Open Anyway". On Windows, if SmartScreen warns you, choose "More info" → "Run anyway".
  • Computer use on a Mac needs Accessibility and Screen Recording for AyCode (System Settings → Privacy & Security). On Linux it needs xdotool and an X11 session; Wayland is not supported yet.
  • The iPhone app stays at 7.2.0; its new parts (voting in groups, the quick Council, letting people into a team session) follow with the next TestFlight build.
  • For those following along: the AyCode Cloud needs a redeploy for "Neuer Link" and handing a session to another host (/v1/health then lists team-6 and team-7), the team mailbox limits and the daily cap on app reports.

Desktop 7.2.1

  • Agenten geben Arbeit weiter.
  • Diktat, das schreibt, was du meinst.

  • Projekte in versteckten Ordnern.
