AyCode signs in on its own cloud, the site wears its dusk look, and AyWork keeps a table's changes when you quit or update.

Highlights

  • An AyCode account. Sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft or e-mail, or keep using GitHub. On the account page you connect more ways in and see what this computer used of the cloud. The Mac, Windows and Linux apps open that page from Settings.
  • The app talks to cloud.aycode.ai. A Mac that signed in on the old address stays signed in. The saved address moves only once the new one answers, so a network that cannot see it yet keeps working. Help, imprint and privacy open on aycode.ai.
  • Connectors, one click. A catalog of MCP connectors, with their logos, installs a server for every agent. Settings lists what is installed.
  • Routines without an Ayling. A routine that names no Ayling starts a plain chat in its project.
  • Mistral Large 4 in Vibe. The model is offered, and a run still has its definition when the Vibe config does not.
  • AyWork asks before work is lost. Quitting, closing a window or installing an update asks about tables that are not saved yet. The question names the tables, and a right-to-left name cannot turn the sentence around. Staying during an update starts no helper.
  • Tables that look like the Excel file. Light and dark follow the file, charts draw on the canvas and in the export, and 192 functions work in German too, with suggestions while you type. A deck exports as PowerPoint with editable text, or as a picture of every slide.
  • A faster video studio. Export decodes films in order and keeps its shape on any screen. Media the agent's tools make shows up live, with waveforms, and you can drop it on the timeline.
  • aycode.ai, in its dusk look. The start page keeps its motion and wears violet dusk, paper and a serif accent. The sky loops from dusk to dawn, and the footer word sits on a painted lake with hopping Aylinge. AyCode Radar brings sourced AI news. Publishing a radar post stays off until you switch it on.

Improved

  • A calmer update. Release notes in the app follow its language and open only https pages. One click starts a quick update.
  • The Mac app can be signed. A Developer ID signs and notarizes the Mac build when the certificate is in the keychain. The iPhone app builds with the paid team, so a build can sign in with Apple.

Fixed

  • A link from the app signs nobody in by itself. Opening the account link shows a page first. Only its button signs that browser in, and only once. A browser that is already someone else is asked before it switches.
  • The app ignores a page address it does not know. What the cloud announces about its own pages counts only on an AyCode address. A frame inside a window cannot call the app, open a chat window or report unsaved tables. A broken saved sign-in is dropped instead of read again on every start.

Downloads

  • macOS (Apple Silicon): AyCode-7.4.0-arm64.dmg
  • Windows (x64): AyCode-Setup-7.4.0-win-x64.exe · portable AyCode-7.4.0-win-x64.zip
  • Auto-update: AyCode-7.4.0-arm64.zip (Mac), AyCode-7.4.0-win-x64.zip (Windows)
  • Checksums: SHA256SUMS + SHA256SUMS.sig

Notes

  • First launch on a Mac: if this build is not notarized yet and macOS blocks AyCode, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose "Open Anyway". On Windows, if SmartScreen warns you, choose "More info" → "Run anyway".
  • For those following along: redeploy the site first, then AyCode Cloud. Set PUBLIC_URL=https://aycode.ai, so sign-in, the account and the community open on the site. The apps keep calling https://cloud.aycode.ai; https://cloud.aycode.ai/v1/health lists accounts-1 and, under signIn, the ways whose values are filled in. New accounts stay limited to ALLOWED_GITHUB_LOGINS until ALLOW_ANY_ACCOUNT=1. The steps for Google, Microsoft, Apple and e-mail are in docs/ACCOUNTS.md. Do not turn open sign-up on until the privacy notice names those ways and the cloud has terms of use.

  • Routinen ohne Ayling.
  • Mistral Large 4 in Vibe.
  • AyWork fragt, bevor Arbeit verloren geht.

AyCode 7.3.0

Desktop 7.3.0

AyWork opens real Excel, CSV and Word files, and you can type into a table and save it back like in Excel. The design canvas lets you present, fine-tune and edit a design yourself, and a new video studio cuts an agent's video on a timeline. Videos an agent renders play right in the chat, the files it hands over sit under its answer as cards that show what is inside, and everyone in a team session sees the same pictures and documents.

Highlights

  • Spreadsheets you can edit, in real Excel and CSV files. An agent's .xlsx, .csv or .tsv file opens in AyWork as a live table that works like Excel: type into a cell, write formulas in your own language (=SUMME(B2;B3) or =SUM(B2,B3)) and click cells into them, continue a series with the fill handle, insert rows and columns, and pick number formats. Formulas are calculated in the app, finance functions like PMT, NPV and IRR included. ⌘S saves the table into its own file as the next version, and an Excel file keeps everything AyWork does not show, such as other sheets, charts and formatting. A .docx opens as a document, export offers Excel, CSV and Word, and "Copy table" pastes into Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets cell by cell.
  • Present and edit designs yourself. "Overview" shows every design of the chat at a glance, decks show slide by slide, "Side by side" puts the previous version next to the current one, and "Present" (P) shows the work full screen. Edit (E) lets you click any text of a design and retype it, and "Tweaks" lists its colours, texts, sizes and spacing to change live. Save the result as the next version, bring back an older version with one button, or pick a ready follow-up such as three variants or a dark version.
  • A video studio in the canvas. When an agent writes a video as an HTML composition, the canvas opens it in a studio built after HyperFrames Studio: play it frame by frame, move, trim and split clips on a multi-track timeline, and change a clip's timing, text, colours and position in the inspector. Every edit can be undone and is saved as the next version. Export renders MP4, WebM or a PNG of the current frame right in the app, without ffmpeg.
  • Pictures cut for social media. "Crop" cuts a picture to a square or portrait post, a story or reel, 16:9 or a link preview. A design can use the pictures the agent made, and PNG export comes twice as sharp.
  • Videos play in the chat. When an agent renders a video with Remotion, HyperFrames, ffmpeg, Manim or its own script, a player appears at the step that made it, with progress while it renders. It finds the video wherever the agent worked, takes the video's own shape, and plays one video at a time.
  • Files from an answer, as cards you can see into. Under a finished answer, every document, sheet, PDF, picture or video the agent handed over gets a card in its format's colour that shows what is inside: a PDF's or Word file's first page, a sheet's first rows, a picture, or a frame of a film. "Open" is one click away, and a real path in the text becomes clickable.
  • Team sessions share what a chat shows. Everyone in a session sees the pictures in every chat and gets a copy of the documents an answer hands over. Copies stay until the session closes, also after a restart. Only files the agent named go out, never macros, SVG or files git ignores that were there before the session.

Improved

  • Continue after restart. Turn on Settings › General › Chats › "Continue after restart", and an answer that an update or quitting cut off picks up where it stopped once AyCode is back within 15 minutes. Plan-only answers and tasks from another agent wait for you instead.
  • More English. Menus, dialogs, the tray, agent errors, model and mode descriptions, approval buttons and the "new chat" title follow an English system too. German stays exactly as it was.
  • A diagnostic recording when an agent misbehaves. Settings › General › Privacy › "Diagnostic recording" keeps a local record of what AyCode and the agents say to each other. It is off by default, stays on your computer, blacks out secrets and deletes itself after 7 days.

Fixed

  • Quitting ends every agent, on Windows too. AyCode saves chats first, then ends the agents and everything they started, within the time quitting allows.
  • Steadier agents. A left-over agent's late stop never hits an unrelated program, and a lost session is never retried after a tool already ran.
  • Big Excel files save in under a second instead of half a minute, and in English a time keeps its 24-hour format (hh:mm shows 14:30).
  • The chat and the canvas stay fast on answers and designs full of odd markup, instead of freezing.
  • Taking over a team chat. When two people press "Take over" at the same moment, only the first gets the chat.
  • Canvas edits work in projects reached through a linked folder, and a link dressed up as a video is never played or opened as one.

  • Team Sessions teilen, was ein Chat zeigt.

AyCode 7.2.1

Desktop 7.2.1

Agents can now use your computer and hand work to each other, AyCode speaks English on English systems, and a new design puts your work on a calm stage. Two chats fit side by side, dictation understands corrections, and a long list of fixes makes stopping, saving and team sessions dependable.

Highlights

  • Agents that use your computer. Turn on "Computer steuern" in a chat and the agent, whichever provider it runs on, can read the front window, take screenshots, click, type, scroll and open apps. It is off in every chat until you switch it on and off again after a restart. While an agent acts, a bar sits above all windows and the screen edge glows; Esc stops it. Sending, deleting, paying, publishing, installing, terminals, line breaks in typed text and system settings always ask you first. AyCode itself, keychains, password managers and password fields are off limits. Works on macOS and Windows, and on Linux with an X11 desktop.
  • Agents that hand off work. An agent can give a task to Codex, Claude, Cline, OpenCode or an Ayling. The task gets its own chat, marked in the sidebar with a way back, and the report comes back to the agent that asked. A task never gets more rights than the chat that gave it.
  • AyCode in English. On an English system the whole app speaks English: chat, sidebar, start screen, onboarding, settings, Second Brain, AyNotes, Aylinge, group chats, the Council of Five, phone and team sessions. Dates and times follow your system. German stays exactly as it was.
  • A new look. The window is a quiet frame, and your chat, start screen and every view sit on one rounded stage inside it. The Inter typeface ships with AyCode, so the app reads the same on macOS, Windows and Linux.
  • Two chats side by side, or a chat in its own window. Open a chat beside the current one from the sidebar menu, with ⌥-click or ⌥⌘S. Any chat can also get a window of its own.
  • Dictation that writes what you meant. Filler sounds go, and a correction said out loud ("two, no, three") replaces what it corrects. Spoken shortcuts expand a phrase into your address, a link or a signature (Settings › AyNotes). Mark text in the composer and dictate an instruction, and the marked text is rewritten.
  • Your pull request's CI in the chat. The chat shows whether the checks of its pull request pass. When one fails, the agent gets the failure in one short line and can fix it.

Improved

  • Find in chat. ⌘F finds a word in the open chat, also in thinking and tool output, and walks between the hits.
  • A full Mac menu bar. Settings (⌘,), check for updates, new chat, quick question, dictation, every sidebar place, the panels, and help with the docs, the community and "Report a problem".
  • Team sessions. The host can hand the session to someone else in it, retire an invite link with "Neuer Link" without taking anyone out, and bring a chat of their own into the session after everyone agrees to share its history. You can read a note in someone else's vault once its owner allows it. Every refusal says what to do next.
  • Aylinge from the chat. Chat agents can create and change Aylinge with a tool; an existing Ayling changes only after you accept the card.
  • Group chats. Edit your own message and the group answers the new words. "Zusammenfassen" sums up where the group stands.
  • Modules walled in on macOS. Module programs run in a sandbox: no access to your home folder, writing only in their own folder, network only with the "network" permission. A program that cannot be walled in does not start.
  • AyNotes. The start page shows one quiet line instead of number tiles and a streak.

Fixed

  • Stop means stop. Stopping an agent now also ends the shells, dev servers and MCP servers it started, on every system. A crashed app server ends the answer instead of leaving it hanging.
  • Long chats keep their task. When older history must be trimmed, the first request stays, because it usually says what the chat is about.
  • Dictation stays on. A stuck take, a crashed dictation pill or a flaky key helper no longer turns dictation off, and the last word is kept.
  • Saving on Windows. Saves survive a file that another program holds open for a moment.
  • Steadier under failure. Group chats, the limit guard, sync, cloud requests and phone connections hold when something fails, and the message queue survives a crash.
  • Team sessions. Invite links, sleep and closing work the same on every system, a takeover no longer waits 90 seconds for code that already arrived, and a runner's own words never read as someone else's.
  • Interface. Deleted chats leave no empty tabs, chat titles keep their room, the model chip stays whole, the status island sits in the chat header, and in a narrow window a chat beside a note no longer slides past the edge.
  • Projects in hidden folders. Projects inside a folder that starts with a dot (such as a worktree in .worktrees) keep their file tools. Undo keeps files that had no snapshot yet.

  • Checksums: SHA256SUMS + SHA256SUMS.sig

Notes

  • First launch on a Mac: not notarized by Apple yet. If macOS blocks AyCode, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose "Open Anyway". On Windows, if SmartScreen warns you, choose "More info" → "Run anyway".
  • Computer use on a Mac needs Accessibility and Screen Recording for AyCode (System Settings → Privacy & Security). On Linux it needs xdotool and an X11 session; Wayland is not supported yet.
  • The iPhone app stays at 7.2.0; its new parts (voting in groups, the quick Council, letting people into a team session) follow with the next TestFlight build.
  • For those following along: the AyCode Cloud needs a redeploy for "Neuer Link" and handing a session to another host (/v1/health then lists team-6 and team-7), the team mailbox limits and the daily cap on app reports.

  • Agenten geben Arbeit weiter.
  • Diktat, das schreibt, was du meinst.

AyCode 7.2.0

Desktop 7.2.0

AyCode now runs on Linux, dictation works in every app, and Aylinge in group chats answer in seconds, vote and share files. Many small steps got shorter, and a long list of fixes makes AyCode calmer and safer.

Highlights

  • AyCode for Linux. Download the AppImage or the .deb package (x64). The AppImage updates itself like the Mac and Windows apps. With the .deb, AyCode downloads and checks the new version and shows it in your file manager; you install it with a double-click or sudo apt install. Team invite links open AyCode on Linux too, and team sessions and sign-in find the keyring on i3, Sway and Hyprland as well as GNOME and KDE.
  • Dictate into any app. Press ⌃⌥ Space on a Mac or Ctrl+Alt+Space on Windows and Linux, speak, and the text lands where your cursor is. On a Mac you can also hold the right Option key while you speak and let go to write. The dictation pill is calmer, and your dictionary now sits in Settings. Dictation learns your own words and keeps its model warm, so the first word is not lost. If you like, the AyCode Cloud can transcribe for you instead of your computer.
  • Group chats that feel like a messenger. Aylinge answer within seconds, several at once, and you watch each answer being typed in its own bubble. Start a message with "Abstimmung: …" and every Ayling votes, ending with a verdict. You can share files and notes in a group and reply to a single message. The Rat der Fünf has a "Schnell" mode that answers as a group and votes right away. "Nochmal" under an Ayling's answer writes just that answer again, in its place.
  • Report a problem from the app. Settings › About › "Report a problem" sends a bug report to the AyCode community. Before anything goes out you see exactly what is sent, and afterwards you can follow its status.
  • Modules for other developers. A module API with clear permissions, an SDK and "Neues Modul anlegen" let others build AyCode modules without AyCode's source code. AyCode says plainly what a permission does and does not limit.
  • Schnellchat on Liquid Glass. On macOS 26 the quick chat window uses Liquid Glass, on Windows 11 Acrylic, and it comes in with a calm entrance. It works entirely from the keyboard, takes what you copied along, and you can dictate into it.
  • More at the notch. The island sits beside the notch with your Aylinge and small widgets for agents and limits. A pointer passing by no longer opens it, and it stays at the notch when an external screen is the main display.

Improved

  • Getting started is one click. Setting up the agents takes one click and four short lines, and the start screen asks you to set them up instead of listing fifteen unchecked ones. Settings call them "Agents" everywhere.
  • Faster ways around. ⌘J and one row in the sidebar walk you to the chats that need you. ⌘1 to ⌘9 open the chat at that place in the sidebar, and Ctrl+Tab goes back to the previous chat. Ctrl shortcuts work on Windows and Linux.
  • Fewer clicks while agents work. When an agent asks whether to go on, yes is one click. "Alle erlauben" answers several waiting permission requests at once. Whatever you type in the command palette can start a new chat.
  • Projects and chats. Drop a folder on the sidebar or the project overview and it becomes a project; the overview also has a tile for adding one. Archiving a chat says so and offers "Rückgängig" (undo), and snoozed chats stay snoozed after a restart.
  • Error cards offer the fix. When an agent fails, the card says what happened in plain words and gives you a button: another model, or the agent settings where the fix lives.
  • Plans price themselves. The usage view reads your plan from your account (for example Claude Max 20x) and shows its monthly price. The agent and usage pages are calmer. Shortly before an agent reaches its limit, AyCode says so quietly, and the island counts exactly what the usage view counts.
  • Asked once, not by default. On first start AyCode asks once whether you want to share anonymous usage statistics and voice samples. Nothing is sent before you answer, and you can change it any time in Settings.
  • Windows and Linux in their own words. AyCode says Explorer or file manager and "this computer" where it used to say Finder and Mac, and the English settings no longer fall back to German.
  • Design. Status badges, branch names and captions meet AA contrast, dialogs and settings keep their layout in small windows, and scrolling no longer slides the start page sideways. "Reduce motion" is followed live.

Fixed

  • Safer by default. A file link never starts a program; it shows the file in its folder. Artifacts and canvas documents carry their security policy before any script runs. AyCode's data folder is closed to other users of the computer. Team guests can no longer read the host's .git, secret or ignored files, and they decide only requests that wait in the shared chat. Side calls of Antigravity and Kimi run without tools, and diagnostics drop echoed keys.
  • Agents on Windows. Stop ends the whole agent, and agents installed with npm start without cmd.exe, so prompts with several lines arrive whole. A crashed Codex app server fails its requests at once instead of hanging.
  • Steadier chats. A queued message survives an answer that ends while the agent decides, two chat updates started together both survive, deleting a chat while it answers shows no save error, and dollar signs in a command reach the prompt as typed.
  • Steadier app. An engine stuck while starting is restarted, a setting changed during a restart is applied, a message or view that cannot render shows a note instead of a blank window, and starting AyCode again reopens a closed window.
  • Sync and cloud. Dropped uploads no longer hang, closing sync waits for the running round, sync keeps polling when its connection never gets through, and a phone that signs out no longer signs out the computer.
  • Group chats after a restart. Waiting messages go out first, pictures stay with their message, and a member removed mid-answer no longer stalls the round.
  • Notes and brain. Every note in your vault opens again, also from a team session, and a shared chat says whose vault a note is in. Memory notes stay searchable when they change, saving a note never waits for a long index run, and a summary written again does not inherit the old ticks.

  • For those following along: the AyCode Cloud needs a redeploy for the admin overview, usage statistics, transcription, voice samples and "Report a problem"; /v1/health then lists stats-1, voice-1, voice-samples-1 and community-1.

  • In jede App diktieren.

AyCode 7.1.5

Desktop 7.1.5 · AyCode Cloud needs a redeploy

Team Sessions now hold up: after sleep, a network change or a cloud restart the session is back within seconds, and what you wrote in the meantime arrives. A chat whose subscription hit its limit can be taken over by someone else with their own subscription, and it stays the same chat. In the Team Chat you see who is typing and where to pick up reading, and a mention reaches you even while you are in another chat.

Highlights

  • Take over a team chat. Every chat in a Team Session runs on the subscription of the person running it. Anyone allowed to take part can now take over a running chat ("Übernehmen") and bring it back ("Zurückholen"). The chat stays the same for everyone, with its whole history and a line "Ab hier über Annas Abo · Codex" where it changed hands. The code comes along, and a running answer or a waiting approval is never cut off. Want to keep a chat to yourself? Switch "Übernehmen" off in the chat list.
  • Carry on at the limit. When the agent of a chat stops at its subscription's limit, everyone else sees when it frees up and gets a notification with "Übernehmen". "Mit meinem Abo weitermachen" takes the chat over, and your own agent carries on exactly where the other one stopped.
  • See who is typing in the Team Chat. A line above the Team Chat box shows who is typing right now ("Anna schreibt …"). It disappears after a short pause or once the message is sent. It travels end-to-end encrypted, at most every three seconds, and is never stored.
  • "New since you were away". When you come back to a session, a quiet line marks the first message you have not seen yet, and the Team Chat shows it to you.
  • Mentions reach you anywhere. If someone mentions you with @ while you are in another chat, "Anna mentioned you in the Team-Chat." appears with "Open". Before, a mention only got through when the window was in the background.
  • An honest connection indicator. When something is wrong with the connection, the session header says calmly that it is reconnecting, since when it has been offline, or that the host is away right now, with a button to connect now. When all is well, it stays out of sight. In the English app these Team Session words are still German; their translation follows.

Improved

  • Back right after waking up. After sleep, unlocking or when the network returns, every Team Session reconnects at once instead of waiting up to a minute and a half. While the Mac sleeps, AyCode does not try at all.
  • Nothing is lost when the line drops. Messages, reactions, comments, pins and tasks made during a drop wait and go out afterwards, in order and exactly once. They only go out under the key they were written under: if the host removed someone in the meantime, they expire instead of leaving under an old key.
  • A cloud restart costs only seconds. When AyCode Cloud restarts, for example during a redeploy, it tells the apps, and everyone reconnects within two seconds, spread out so not everyone knocks at once.
  • A network change is noticed at once. Switch Wi-Fi, join a VPN or pull the cable, and every Team Session asks right away instead of waiting up to a minute and a half for the heartbeat. A connection that never even comes up is knocked on again on its own.
  • A cut transfer says so at once. If the line drops during "Vom Gastgeber übertragen" or a branch transfer, the receiver says so immediately and the sender offers the bundle again by itself once the line is back — once per bundle, and nothing half-finished is applied.

Fixed

  • After a cloud crash, messages no longer arrived. Mailbox numbers could repeat after a crash, and a Mac then never fetched the new messages. Now they keep counting safely after every start, and a damaged mailbox no longer takes the cloud down.
  • A full disk took the cloud down. One failed write ended the cloud, and nothing was saved after that. Now it records the error and catches up on the next write.
  • Quiet sessions vanished after seven days. A session expired when nobody wrote for seven days, even with everyone connected. Now every connection counts as activity.
  • One stuck connection could overload the cloud. A connection that stops reading is cut once 64 MB pile up for it, and catches up through the mailbox afterwards.
  • Changes that arrived before their message were lost. If, after a break, an edit, a pin or a delete arrived before the message itself, the change vanished and deleted messages could reappear. Now the change waits for its message.
  • Reactions and pins made during a drop never arrived. If the line was down while you reacted, commented or pinned, the others never saw it.
  • "Host offline", though it was your own line. The session header blamed the host while it was in fact your own connection that was down. It now names your own line, and the box above the composer says what applies.
  • A message the cloud played again came back after an app restart. The guard against replayed messages lived in memory only; after a restart the old numbers counted as new again. It now survives the restart.
  • An ancient message could fire an order again. What makes a Mac act for someone else now carries its send time, sealed inside. The receiver refuses it when it is too far from its own clock. The roster and the task list only ever rise; an older version is no longer applied.
  • The cloud no longer accepts this Mac's sign-in. If the device was signed out or removed, AyCode kept quietly trying. Now it says that it has to be signed in again.
  • Rolling numbers stretched the list they sit in. A counting number, say on an agent, made its row wider and pushed the layout around. It now has a fixed width.

  • For those following along: AyCode Cloud needs a redeploy (Coolify). There are no new features, and older apps keep working with it. After every restart the mailbox numbers jump to the current time in milliseconds; that is intended and keeps them unique.
  • Security: what waits out a drop is released by a guest only once the host answers a fresh random number; an old message the cloud plays again is not enough. Known limit: the session key is shared and not signed, so someone who still holds an old key and controls the cloud can act as the host. Host signatures are the next step.
  • Security: the numbers that guard against replayed messages are now on disk and survive a restart. On top of that, orders, the roster and the task list carry a sealed send time that applies independently of them. This covers AyCode Macs; browser guests and older Mac versions are not yet covered, because they do not send the send time. It is tested that a second Mac of the same account still joins as usual.
  • Still open for 7.1.6: the cloud should cap connections per account without devices pushing each other out. That is not part of 7.1.5.
  • E2E: 21 Playwright tests were red on main. They are green now — real defects fixed in the product, stale tests brought up to the 7.x interface, and comparison images refreshed only after looking at the difference.
  • People let into a session receive the earlier Team Chat history from the host; only the mailbox stays closed to them. The docs said otherwise before.

AyCode 7.1.4

Desktop 7.1.4

Antigravity now offers Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5.5, each in Low, Medium and High.

New

  • Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 in Antigravity. Antigravity's model picker has six new entries: "Claude Opus 5.5" and "Claude Sonnet 5.5", each with "(Low)", "(Medium)" and "(High)". These are exactly the models agy models reports from agy 1.2.16 on. Both have a 1M context, and the usage view prices them at Anthropic's own list price.

Improved

  • An old Claude 4.6 choice moves along. agy no longer offers Claude Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6. If you had picked one of them, you land on the same model in 5.5 at the "High" level instead of "Default", and the next turn no longer fails on a model that is gone.

Desktop 7.1.4

Desktop 7.1.3

The chat stays calm while an answer is running, Settings now speak English too, Aylinge create new Aylinge in their own chat, and group chats with Claude send far less twice. Settings › About now shows what changed recently.

New

  • What's new. Settings › About › "What's new" shows the changes of the last five versions right inside the app. The changelog ships with the app and reads offline too. The running version is marked.
  • AyCode in English. Settings › General › Language offers "System", "Deutsch" and "English". Switching takes effect immediately, without a restart. So far the main menu and Settings are translated; the rest follows. If you had German, you keep German.
  • Aylinge create new Aylinge in their own chat. Until now this only worked in groups. In a 1:1 chat a card "Ayling created" appears with "Open chat" and "Undo". An Ayling no longer edits AyCode's data files itself to do this.

Improved

  • Group chats with Claude send less twice. A group's shared Claude session only receives the messages it has not read yet, and each member's house rules and persona only once. After a restart, a provider switch, compacting or rewinding, everything goes along again.

Fixed

  • The chat no longer jumps while working. While a longer answer was running, the end of the chat slipped away every few seconds: if you were at the bottom you did not stay there, scrolling down could show an empty chat, and afterwards the view jumped back down. The cause was the moving light on the bar of a running answer, which invisibly made the chat longer. Now the chat stays at the end, and if you scrolled up you keep reading undisturbed.

🇩🇪 Deutsch

Desktop 7.1.3

Neu

  • Was ist neu.

AyCode 7.1.2

Desktop 7.1.2 · Android 7.1.2 (71002)

iPhone and Apple Watch follow as 7.1.2 (64) via TestFlight.

Moving in now also brings over sessions from Claude Code and Codex in the terminal and, if you like, new chats on its own. Codex works with local models from Ollama and LM Studio, group chats take images and reactions, and iPhone and Apple Watch get quiet hours, custom quick replies, Siri to wake the Mac and a read-only mode.

New

  • Take over Claude Code and Codex sessions. Settings › Move in has the groups "Claude Code in the terminal" and "Codex in the terminal". They list the working folders with their sessions; "Take over chats" copies each session with its full history into the AyCode project of its folder. If you keep writing, you write in a branch; the session in the terminal stays untouched. The move-in assistant also offers both with one click in the "Take over" step.
  • Catch up on new chats automatically. T3 Code has the switch "Catch up on new chats", Claude Code and Codex have "Catch up on new sessions" (each off until you turn it on). AyCode then checks every 15 minutes and takes over new chats from folders that have already moved in. A notification says how many there were.
  • Local models in Codex. If Ollama or LM Studio is running, their models appear in Codex under "Local · Ollama" and "Local · LM Studio". A chat with them runs entirely on your computer and needs no sign-in. A chat can switch between a local and a cloud model and keeps its history.
  • Remember diff comments in the Brain. With the "Remember in Brain" checkbox, a comment on a diff line also lands in Reviews/<Project>.md in the vault, with time, file, line, code and chat.
  • Reactions in Ayling chats and groups. Bubbles in Ayling chats and groups get the same five reactions as the team chat. An Ayling that stays quiet in a group can now react to your message with an emoji instead of just reading along.
  • Images in group chats. Images go into the group with or without text. The answering Ayling sees them if its provider can handle images; otherwise only the text goes out and a notice says so.
  • What a phone changed last. Settings › Phone shows the last three changes per paired phone, such as "Approval answered" or "Message sent". Only type, time and chat are stored, and only while AyCode is running.
  • Clean up old sign-ins. Under Settings › Cloud › Devices, "Clean up old sign-ins" removes all devices that have not been around for more than 30 days, after a confirmation. This Mac and currently connected devices stay.
  • iPhone: quiet hours. Under Settings → Notifications, quiet hours (default 22:00 to 07:00) keep notifications silent overnight. They still arrive in Notification Center.
  • iPhone: "Hey Siri, wake my Mac with AyCode" and a "New chat" button for Control Center and the Lock Screen.
  • iPhone: read-only phones only read. An iPhone marked "Read only" on the Mac hides input, approvals and Mac settings and explains why. On the Watch, reply buttons and "New chat" disappear.
  • Watch: custom quick replies. Under Settings → Apple Watch on the iPhone you set up to four short replies of your own.
  • iPhone: haptics and "Return sends". A light tap when sending, a success tap when an answer is done and a warning for a question. Both can be set under Privacy & Behavior → In the chat.

Improved

  • iPhone starts with your chats. After a cold start the iPhone immediately shows the last known chat list until the Mac answers.
  • iPhone: day separators in the chat. "Today", "Yesterday" or the date mark where a new day begins.
  • Finished chats glow green briefly. In the sidebar, the dot of a finished chat turns green for a few seconds.
  • Stop button with an arc. While an answer is running, an arc in the provider's colour circles the stop button. A sent message grows out of the corner of its bubble.

Fixed

  • The move-in scan no longer hangs on a slow folder. Each app has 8 seconds to count. After that it shows "more than …" and the other apps still appear.
  • Claude history comes completely or not at all. If one of its Claude sessions could not be read while taking over an imported chat, the rest was taken over anyway and the chat was permanently considered complete. Now nothing is taken over and it is loaded again on the next open.
  • Aylinge no longer get lost. If something outside AyCode changed agents.json, such as an Ayling creating a new agent through the shell, AyCode overwrote it on the next save. Now AyCode takes over outside changes and only adds its own change.
  • iPhone: the Face ID lock no longer crashes. The reason text for Face ID is now also in the checked-in Info.plist.

Desktop 7.1.2 · Android 7.1.2 (71002)

  • Lokale Modelle in Codex.
  • Bilder in Gruppenchats.

Desktop 7.1.1 · Android 7.1.1 (71001)

iPhone and Apple Watch follow as 7.1.1 (63) via TestFlight.

A bug-fix release for 7.1.0: Claude handles side tasks more cheaply and shows only each project's own commands in that project; chat scrolling and the status line behave calmly again.

Improved

  • Claude handles side tasks with Haiku. Start lines, history and the notetaker summary now run on Claude Haiku without thinking, the commit message on the chat model without thinking. That costs considerably less. With your own API address or via Bedrock or Vertex, the chat model is still used. In the Claude settings, "Model for side tasks" decides who takes these tasks: empty for automatic, "main" for the chat model, or a model ID of your own. If the chosen model is not available, AyCode tries once with the chat model.
  • Clearer message when Claude stops. If the Claude CLI quits in the middle of an answer, the error card is called "CLI ended unexpectedly" and names the cause in plain words instead of a raw English error.

Fixed

  • Each project shows its own commands. With several projects open, a Claude chat could offer commands and skills from another project. Now each chat only knows the commands and skills of its project.
  • Start screen without foreign commands. The start screen and chats that had not reported commands yet sometimes showed the commands and skills of the project that was last active. AyCode now remembers the list per project, also across a restart.
  • Finished Claude answers stay finished. An error while closing the CLI shortly after an answer ended used to turn it into an error afterwards.
  • The status line next to the thinking orb stays readable. After a change, the live label lost letters and only something like "h t a" was left. Now it stays complete. Long descriptions and quick successive changes are swapped without the letter animation.
  • The chat no longer scrolls past the end. Scrolling down with momentum pulled the chat past the end and then let it slide back. Now it stops at the end. Following along only starts again once you are all the way down, and scrolling up lets go immediately.
  • iPhone build. The archive script now also recognises the team's development certificates.

Desktop 7.1.1 · Android 7.1.1 (71001)

  • Startbildschirm ohne fremde Befehle.
  • Fertige Claude-Antworten bleiben fertig.

AyCode 7.1.0

Desktop 7.1.0 · Android 7.1.0 (71000) · iPhone and Apple Watch 7.1.0 (62) follow via TestFlight

Teams and Aylinge move closer together: group chats with several Aylinge on any provider, invitations by GitHub name and team sessions you can follow in the browser, without AyCode at all. Plus one prompt to several models with a side-by-side comparison, diff comments, chats for later, your history as a timesheet, an overview in Settings and a lot that is new on iPhone and Apple Watch: wake the Mac, reply from the notification, Face ID and complications. 7.0.1 was not published; its changes are included here.

New

  • Team session in the browser, without AyCode. The invitation page offers "Join in the browser, without AyCode". Anyone who wants to join signs in with GitHub and knocks. Once let in, they follow every chat of the session live (text, tool steps and code), see the tasks and write in the team chat. Steering agents, granting approvals and code stay in the app. The page decrypts everything itself; the cloud still reads nothing. On a phone the page is split into tabs.
  • Invite by GitHub name. Type @name in the share dialog and click "Invite". The invited person sees the invitation in the island and as a notification and is in with "Join", without knocking. Invitations can be withdrawn or declined.
  • Team chat like a messenger. Reply with a quote, edit and delete your own messages, reactions (👍 ❤️ 😂 🎉 👀) and pinned messages above the conversation.
  • Miss nothing in your team. The cloud keeps team chat, reactions, comments and tasks sealed. Anyone who was offline gets everything on their return, even if nobody else is online. After a restart the conversation is back.
  • Group chats with Aylinge. One chat for people and several Aylinge whose providers can be mixed freely. The pinned Ayling answers right away (or decides for itself, or waits for @name), the others react to @name, and @ALL asks everyone. Aylinge bring each other in and can create new specialists. "Create group" sits in the Aylinge list, on the start screen and in the input box. Ayling chats and groups read like a messenger, with bubbles in the Ayling's colour.
  • Copy an Ayling. "Create copy" in the profile takes over brief, engine, location, skills and memory. The copy's routines start switched off so nothing runs twice.
  • One prompt to several models. On the start page, Shift-click (⇧) up to three more models in the picker. Each model gets its own chat, in repositories with its own worktree. "Compare answers" then shows the answers side by side, each with status, time, tool calls and changed files.
  • Comment on diff lines. In the changes panel, every line shows a comment button on hover. "Into the chat" (or ⌘/Ctrl + Enter) puts the comment into the input box as a quote with file, line and code. Several comments collect in one message.
  • Chats for later. The chat menu has "Later": in an hour, this evening, tomorrow morning or on Monday. The chat waits in the "Later" section and comes back on its own at the chosen time, or earlier if something happens in it.
  • Answer follow-up questions with an image or file. The question card has a paperclip, and a pasted image is attached.
  • Long pasted text becomes a file. From 32 KiB on, AyCode attaches pasted text as a text file instead of filling the input box. "Paste as text anyway" undoes that.
  • Lists continue. In the input box a new line continues the list, as in AyNotes. An empty line ends it.
  • Projects with their own defaults. Per project you can set the model and reasoning effort new chats start with. Every project card shows the activity of the last 14 days. A selected project shows its key figures, including cost and tokens of the last 7 days.
  • Mark things in the agent browser. Via "Mark" in the bar or on the pill, a click marks an element of the page with a number instead of operating it. The agent reads the marks, and "Into the chat" writes them into the input box.
  • History as a timesheet. History has a search, a "Last 7 days" bar and "Where the time went" with a filter per app (e.g. "Only Xcode"). "Timesheet" copies one day or all matches as Markdown.
  • AyNotes: open tasks. The start page collects the tasks from the meetings of the last 45 days, tasks with a due date first. You can tick them off there and on the meeting page. "Send open tasks to the agent" sends only what is still open.
  • Graph: path between two notes. "Path to …" highlights the shortest chain of links between two notes.
  • Settings with an overview. Settings open with an overview: what needs your attention right now and how each area is doing. The Cloud and Phone pages start with status tiles, and the Cloud page lists all team sessions and invitations. The navigation is reorganised, and "Import" is now called "Move in".
  • Assign keyboard shortcuts freely. Settings › Keyboard shortcuts (⌘/ or Ctrl + /) lists every shortcut. Global shortcuts can be reassigned or turned off. If a key is already taken, AyCode refuses it.
  • Phones set to "Read only". Every paired phone can be renamed and set to "Read only". It then sees everything but cannot write, approve, start chats or change settings.
  • Move in from more apps. The move-in assistant now also recognises T3 Code, Cline, Pi, Oh My Pi, Grok CLI, Mistral Vibe, Cursor, GitHub Copilot CLI and Qwen Code and shows their logos. Imports from T3 Code and Claudian show how far along they are ("12 of 31 chats").
  • AyCode's MCP server for more providers. DeepSeek Harness (0.2 and later), Vibe (2.22 and later), Pi and Antigravity via the SDK get Brain, the agent browser and your own MCP servers automatically. Antigravity keeps working even if a server does not answer.
  • Pi plans. "Plan" starts Pi with read-only tools. The result is a plan you start with "Carry out plan".
  • Codex: "Ultra" for GPT-6.1 Sol. The reasoning levels now come from Codex's model catalogue, so new levels appear without an AyCode update.
  • More targets in the command palette. ⌘K also opens the projects overview, Aylinge, AyNotes and History.

New on iPhone and Apple Watch

  • Wake the Mac. iPhone and Watch send real Wake-on-LAN packets. When the iPhone returns to Wi-Fi or changes networks, it connects right away and wakes the Mac. There is also a Mac widget for the Home and Lock Screen and a switch in Control Center.
  • Reply and approve from the notification. Under a finished answer there is "Reply", for approvals "Allow" and "Deny" (with Face ID). Under Settings → Notifications you choose what alerts you and whether title and preview appear on the Lock Screen. The app icon counts the chats waiting for you.
  • Privacy & Behavior. Lock with Face ID (immediately or after 1, 5 or 15 minutes), a cover in the app switcher, a screen that stays awake while an agent works, and a start tab of your choice.
  • New chat from anywhere. Via Siri ("New chat in AyCode"), Spotlight, Shortcuts, the Action button and aycode://new. On the Watch, "New chat" starts with a project choice and dictation.
  • Complications for the Watch. Who is working, who is waiting and which limit is fullest, right on the watch face.
  • Group chats on the iPhone. The pinned Ayling sits at the top, and next to every answer is the avatar of the Ayling that wrote it.
  • All eight Aylinge shapes, including ghost, star, cube and flower, are now on the iPhone, in the widgets and in the screensaver.

Improved

  • Answers feel alive. Every word of a running answer fades in gently. Time and steps count along, and the bar, end dot and edge of the input box glow in the colour of the answering provider. Status words morph letter by letter, and numbers (lines, context, limits, usage) roll to their new value. With reduced motion everything stays still.
  • Changes at a glance. Above the input box a small live preview shows which file the agent is editing right now. Hovering over a step's "+1 −1" or the changes chip shows the changed lines or files. In the sidebar, running chats show their changed lines.
  • The agent's task list ticks off live, with a rolling counter and a short shine on every tick.
  • Calmer controls. Delete and remove ask right at the button instead of in a system dialog. "Copy" turns into a check mark in place. Loading placeholders only appear when loading really takes a while.
  • Sidebar and narrow windows. Waiting and aborted chats carry a short pill ("Waiting", "Error"), in the command palette too. In narrow windows, chips in the chat header step aside entirely instead of being cut off, and the actions in the changes panel wrap.
  • Readability. Quiet texts (hints, timestamps) have at least 3:1 contrast in every colour theme; the status pills meet AA.
  • Agent browser. The cursor outlines what it is about to click, and you see every letter while it types. The bar is calmer and has an address field. The window only opens when the agent works in a web app, not for mere reading.
  • Clearer error cards. If a CLI rejects AyCode's options or is outdated, the card says "CLI version does not match" and offers "Update CLI". Sign-in problems with Grok, Pi, OMP and OpenCode lead to the sign-in card.
  • DeepSeek Harness 0.2. Thinking, tools and answer appear live, every chat has its own dsh session, and errors such as a missing API key show up in the error card.

Fixed

  • Claude chats with higher speed start again. If a higher speed was set for Opus, every Claude chat aborted immediately ("unknown option '--fast'"). The speed setting still takes effect.
  • Claude with sandbox. If "Don't start at all without a sandbox" is off, the chat keeps running without a sandbox where the sandbox cannot start (Linux without bubblewrap, Windows), instead of aborting every answer.
  • ZCode installs the right program. Until now "I...
