freedisk.space 0.2.0
The first public build of freedisk.space: see where your disk space went, find what's worth a second look, and review every removal before it happens. Everything runs on your Mac.
Download: freedisk.space.dmg below. One app for Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Install
- Open the DMG and drag freedisk.space to Applications.
- Open it. macOS will say it "could not verify" the app, because it isn't notarized by Apple yet (that needs a paid developer account; the code is public here). Click Done, then open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway and confirm. This happens only once.
Prefer Terminal?xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/freedisk.space.app - Turn on freedisk.space in Privacy & Security › Full Disk Access so the scan can see everything.
