Physical_oM - Construction Objects
The Physical_oM houses the representations for constructions, layers, and materials, shared by most disciplines.
A construction is made up of layers - one or many layers may be needed to make up a construction. Consider an external wall in a house, which may have a layer of brick, a layer of insulation, and a layer of plasterboard as its construction. This would be three layers.
Each layer contains a single material, and defines how thick that material should be. This might be 50mm of brick, 30mm of insulation, and 20mm of plasterboard for example. The sum of the thickness' of the layers provide us the total construction thickness and thus the thickness of the wall (100mm).
Each material contains a collection of properties, defined by each discipline as required. A material should be a single type of data, with instantiation data (data about the use of the material) being held by the layer.
