Bible Concordance v2.5.0
Free, offline-first Bible study desktop app for Windows (Tauri + Rust + React).
What's new in 2.5.0
- Sermon builder (Study → Sermon builder). Type what the sermon is about: a topic, several topics separated by semicolons, a passage by name or reference, or a plain sentence. The app gathers key passages, supporting verses, cross-references, commentary, dictionary and topical articles, word studies, your own notes and passages from your books. You tick what to keep, arrange it under headings in a shape you choose, add your own notes, and print it or save it as a Word document. It finds and lays out the material; it does not write the sermon. That is the preacher's work.
- A fuller Scripture search for the builder. It looks for your exact words first (in every bundled translation), then every form of each word, then verses with most of the words, and it uses everything the topical Bibles list for the subject. For 27 common subjects it also brings a checked list of core passages. Each passage says why it was found.
- Saved sermons, with a series name and the date preached. Sermons are grouped by series with the passages each series has covered, and are included in My Study → Export.
- Scanned e-books import cleanly. The automatic e-books from the Internet Archive now lose their page headers and page numbers, and their chapters are rebuilt from the page headings.
If you already have 2.4.x, the app offers this update itself (or use Settings → Updates → Check for updates now).
Downloads
- BibleConcordance_2.5.0_x64-setup.exe: NSIS installer (recommended)
- BibleConcordance_2.5.0_x64_en-US.msi: MSI installer
Windows 10/11, 64-bit. If you have 2.3.0 or older, install this version once by hand; later versions will then be offered inside the app. Your notes, highlights, bookmarks and books are kept.
The installer is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen will warn on the first run: click "More info" → "Run anyway". (Updates themselves are signed and checked by the app before they're installed.)
The .sig files and latest.json are used by the app's updater. You don't need to download them. The natural read-aloud voice (a one-time download inside the app) is still the one attached to the v2.4.0 release.
Free to use by anyone for personal, educational, church or ministry use. See NOTICE.md in the repo for full licence and attribution details of every bundled text and dataset.
