Latest fixes

  • Add Sitting Mode (VR Comfort and Display).
  • Add multiplayer to use UDP and created a relay server so anyone can play using a generated code.
  • Set maximum number of online players to 8.
  • Use built in keyboard for stand-alone and SteamVR for easier text input.
  • Fix direction Alien when fall from wall/ceiling.
  • Remove B for Alien climb and only allow a non-bound button. Default is Left Grip for VR. Recommend resetting keys to defaults then make new edit.
  • Option to turn off/on Melee Attacks.
  • Change button wording "Hold" to "Long Press".
  • Highlight buttons in red that are already used so its easier to see what it already using it.
  • Fix weapon vibrations.
  • Stop rapid fire for left pistol as Marine.
  • Fix Pico menus.
  • Add option to keep Messages on-screen for longer in Audio/Video Options.
  • Fix crashes that happened when Alien and use tail, and then when go to next level and use tail it would crash.

Warning

Ignore this warning if you're upgrading from 0.6. Quest users: If you’ve installed 0.5 or earlier, this build will be a new install and wont overwrite the old. You can keep old one if you’ve already progressed in game but you'll have two versions installed. Preferably uninstall old version and start afresh (user progress will be reset). Assets will need to be reinstalled to the new location of sdcard > Android > data > com.bassquake.quest.avpvr > files.

Which build is right for you?

Download and extract the zip you want to use into your folder where the game assets are (see more detailed instructions on the readme of this github). Required libraries are in the zips. Should simply be able to run the executable.

VR versions

Quest/Pico

  • avpvr-1.3-quest-arm64-v8a-release.apk is the standalone version for Quest 1, 2, 3, 3S, Pro Meta headsets and Pico headsets.

Windows

  • avpvr-1.3-windows-x64-vr.zip is the PCVR version for 64 bit x64 Windows PCs.

Linux

  • avpvr-1.3-linux-x64-vr.zip is the PCVR version for 64 bit x64 Linux PCs.

Customise Steam library with the steamvr-custom-images.zip which are images for Steam when you add the non-steam game to your library so it looks nice!

Flat versions

Android

  • avp-1.3-android-armeabi-v7a-release.apk is flat version for 32 bit Android 8.0 and above devices such as Android TVs and phones.
  • avp-1.3-android-arm64-v8a-release.apk is flat version for 64 bit Android 8.0 and above devices such as Android TVs and phones.

Windows

  • avp-1.3-windows-x86-flat.zip is the flat version for 32 bit x86 Windows PCs.
  • avp-1.3-windows-x64-flat.zip is the flat version for 64 bit x64 Windows PCs.
  • avp-1.3-windows-arm64-flat.zip is the flat version for 64 bit ARM Windows PCs. (Untested)

Linux

  • avp-1.3-linux-x86-flat.zip is the flat version for 32 bit x86 Linux PCs.
  • avp-1.3-linux-x64-flat.zip is the flat version for 64 bit x64 Linux PCs.
  • avp-1.3-linux-arm64-flat.zip is the flat version for 64 bit ARM Linux PCs. (Untested)
