What's changed

First unified multi-platform release. Tag v0.8.0 after this lands on main to publish Android + Wear OS APKs plus desktop installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux on both x64 and arm64.

Added

  • Cesium Desktop is a first-class shipped app on macOS (Apple silicon + Intel), Windows (x64 + arm64), and Linux (x64 + arm64). Tagged releases attach DMG/ZIP, NSIS setup, AppImage, and deb artifacts alongside the phone and Wear OS APKs. Each architecture builds on a native runner because the packaged app embeds the host Node binary and compiles native modules in place.
  • Desktop native surface ported from Android: agent-run notifications with the same completion / intervention preferences (always / background-only / never), a tray icon with live agent status, dock/taskbar attention (macOS badge + bounce; Windows/Linux frame flash), cesium:// deep links, and Open With / dock-drop / argv share intake into the existing share sheet.
  • Native macOS window chrome: hidden-inset title bar with traffic lights, a real application menu so ⌘C/⌘V/⌘W/⌘Q work, and workbench insets that keep the rail, editor tabs, and settings search out from under the lights.
  • MCP plugins marketplace, Connect, and OAuth hardening.
  • SubAgents V2 model inheritance and Model access settings with layered Cesium harness UI.
  • New-chat composers persist as titled drafts (title is taken from the first typed character).
  • Voice settings for transcription, TTS, and title fallback.
  • Harness toggles, Cursor ACP revival, and CLI OAuth.
  • Live subagent progress streamed into open transcript views.
  • Unified OpenCode and OpenCode v2 Beta into one harness, with model-specific harness capability contracts.

Changed

  • Scale performance overhaul: per-conversation subscriptions, batched fan-out, poll reduction, and GPU cuts so large workspaces stay responsive.
  • Bundled mobile workbench is rebuilt from source for this release, so the removed server-gate and later shell work actually ship in the APK (the 0.7.0 APK still had stale assets from #168).
  • Subscription OAuth is restricted to ChatGPT and SpaceXAI SuperGrok.
  • Standalone Chat rail hides its title for No workspace.
  • Todo tool calls group into the same worked-session dropdown as other tools.

Removed

  • The blocking "Check Cesium server" / "Sign in to Cesium" full-page gate is gone. The workbench now always mounts immediately on launch, even when the configured backend is unreachable or requires sign-in; connecting, switching, and signing in to servers (including the Termux on-device flow) live in-app under Settings -> Servers and the server picker.
  • The 40-iteration cap on Cesium subagent tool loops.

Fixed

  • OAuth / Sign In / Authenticate redirects no longer die inside the Android (and iOS) WebView. window.open and foreign http(s) navigations now leave the bundled workbench and open in the system browser instead of being swallowed by setSupportMultipleWindows={false} or unloading the file:// page.
  • Composer no longer drops keystrokes or shifts the caret when typing fast on Android.
  • Queued-message arrow force-sends instead of unqueueing.
  • Composer status defaults apply correctly across new chats.
  • Browsers no longer auto-split, and the workbench pane no longer auto-reopens.
  • Cesium pause/stop pill animates both ways.
  • Chat transition jank, model persistence, and dock-aware scroll padding.
  • Mobile workbench pane frost and empty-editor swipe-close.
  • First-turn conversation event reconciliation.
  • Cursor SDK local coding access across platforms.
  • Landing workbench CTAs actually open /agent.
  • Cursor SDK sandbox no longer fails fresh installs on hosts without kernel sandbox support.

Install

Android — sideload the phone APK on Android 8+ (the Wear OS companion APK is for paired watch installs):

adb install -r cesium-mobile-0.8.0.apk

macOS — open the DMG and drag Cesium Desktop into Applications. Builds are unsigned, so on first launch right-click the app and choose Open, or clear the quarantine flag:

Windows — run the setup executable. Builds are unsigned, so if SmartScreen appears choose "More info" then "Run anyway".

Linux — make the AppImage executable and run it, or install the deb:
