ntfsmac 3.1.0 is the new BinaryBears release for Apple Silicon Macs.

Highlights

  • The modern macOS helper is now the standard installation path, with transactional migration from an existing Legacy helper.
  • A separately labelled Legacy DMG remains available for compatibility and is built automatically from the same source.
  • Diagnose now presents four clear, user-facing health categories and keeps technical details in the CLI.
  • Settings has a cleaner aligned header with an icon-only update check.
  • Quit protects mounted drives with Unmount and Quit, Quit Anyway, and Cancel.
  • Mouse interaction and keyboard focus behavior were refined throughout the menu-bar popover.

  • Background polling and animation behavior were optimized and validated for very low idle resource impact.

Installation

Download ntfsmac-3.1.0-Apple-Silicon.dmg for the standard installation. Use the Legacy DMG only when the standard helper cannot be approved on the target Mac.

Both DMGs are Developer ID signed, notarized, stapled, and accompanied by portable SHA-256 checksum files.
