Bridge 0.2.0
Bridge now runs on Windows! And the phone can talk to a Mac and a PC at the same time… most of the time.
Windows (new)
- Notifications, clipboard both ways, and phone mirroring with video, audio and full input, on Windows 10/11.
- Pair over USB or by pasting the ticket. The Bluetooth link needs no Windows pairing as it's encrypted end to end by the app itself.
- Material 3 look, system tray, launch at login, minimise to tray.
All platforms
- Notification icons: the phone's app icons now show on Mac and Windows notifications.
- A Mac and a Windows PC can both be linked over Bluetooth at once.
- Set up over USB now verifies that the phone's helper started, and clears a stale one left over from a reinstall.
Fixes
- Bluetooth: the Mac's link no longer times out when another computer connects, and a Mac pairing for the first time no longer drops mid-dialog.
- Messages over 512 bytes (app icons, long clipboard text) were being silently discarded by the phone.
- Windows: cancelled connects no longer interfere with later ones, and a dead tunnel closes the session cleanly.
Known issues
- Windows' Bluetooth link can drop and reconnect every few minutes. It usually comes back on its own; being worked on for 0.2.1.
- Windows is not code-signed, so SmartScreen will warn on first run.

Bridge 0.1.1
Mac bugfix. Android app is unchanged.
Fixed
- The Mac remembered the phone's Bluetooth identifier from its first pairing and ignored any other. That identifier changes whenever the Bluetooth bond is remade, so after re-pairing the Mac could no longer find the phone.
- The ticket and pairing secret are stored as one keychain item instead of two, so macOS asks for keychain access once now. Existing installs are migrated on first launch.
Install
Bridge-0.1.1.dmg, drag Bridge to Applications. Existing settings and pairing carry over.
Bridge 0.1.0
Initial release. Your Android phone on your Mac, from anywhere.
Install
- Phone:
Bridge-0.1.0.apkfor Android 11+, arm64. Open it and allow installs from your browser. - Mac:
Bridge-0.1.0.dmg, drag Bridge to Applications.
Then pair once: USB debugging on, plug in, Set Up Over USB in Bridge's menu on the Mac. Full steps in the README.
Highlights
- Screen mirroring with audio over an encrypted iroh tunnel; works on cellular and through VPNs
- No ADB port left open on the network during a session; USB debugging switched on only when needed
- Notifications and clipboard over Bluetooth LE when the phone is nearby
- Pairing secret on every stream, helper connection and Bluetooth link
- Nearby only by default. The Mac wakes the tunnel for a session and the phone switches it back off after
SHA256SUMS.txt has checksums for both files.
