Fixelect v1.1.3 — offline grammar fixes and polish in every app

Fixelect fixes and polishes the text you select, in any app, with an AI model that runs entirely on your computer. No account, no cloud, no telemetry.

What's new in 1.1.3

• Mac: the double-tap works. Fixelect now listens for shortcuts itself and needs only the Accessibility permission. Before, it silently waited for a second permission (Input Monitoring) that it never asked for.
• Mac: the double-tap is reliable on a busy Mac. Taps are timed by when you pressed the keys, not by when Fixelect got to them, so a double-tap made while the model loads still counts.
• Mac: Polish is now double-tap Shift (⇧ ⇧). Double-tap Control is macOS's Dictation shortcut, so it opened Dictation instead. Fix stays double-tap Option (⌥ ⌥).
• Mac: the Polish preview answers the keyboard. Return replaces, Esc cancels and R tries again, even while your app stays in front. Before, Return went into your document.
• Mac: easier permission step. Fixelect appears in the Accessibility list by itself, so you only flip its switch.
• Mac: works without the GPU. If Metal can't start, the model runs on the processor.
• Every release is now tested on macOS 26 and macOS 15: Fixelect is installed from the disk image and fixes and polishes real text in TextEdit.

Each file has a .sha256 checksum next to it. Fixelect's built-in updater verifies it automatically.

First launch: if Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway. On a Mac, if it says Fixelect can't be opened, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or paste xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Fixelect.app && open /Applications/Fixelect.app into Terminal. Builds are signed automatically once the project has signing certificates.

• Fix (double-tap Alt / ⌥) keeps your voice; Polish (double-tap Ctrl on Windows, ⇧ Shift on Mac) shows a preview with Professional, Friendly, Concise, Formal and Shorter styles.
• An on-screen card shows progress and results, with one-click Undo.
• Formatting (bold, links, fonts) is kept in Word, Outlook, Google Docs and Gmail.
• English plus Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Ukrainian. Uzbek (beta) with the optional Gemma 4 model.
• Turn Fixelect off for specific apps; terminals and password managers are off by default.
• Frees the model's memory when idle; long text is processed in chunks you can cancel with Esc.
