Mod Options

All gameplay affecting changes are found in the in-game mod options, which can be accessed from the menu at any time (Options > Mod Options > Criminal Dawn):

  • Difficulty: Adjusts the difficulty cap. Over your playthrough and as you progress through a run, the difficulty will inch closer towards the cap. Defaults to Overkill.
  • Mutator Mode: Allows you to change how random mutators are applied, or if they should apply at all:
    • Off: No random mutators will generate. Cloaker Arrest, Friendly Fire (Hard+), and Winters' Shields (Death Wish+) will still be enabled.
    • On: Number of mutators will scale with heist number (1 mutator for first heist, 2 for second heist, etc).
    • On + Scaling (default): Number of mutators will also scale with items received in the same way as difficulty.
    • Inverted Scaling: Number of mutators will start maxed out (based on difficulty setting), but decrease as you receive items.
  • Death Link: Disabled by default. If enabled, a death link is sent to all other slots in the multiworld upon failing a heist. Received death links will take one down the next time you receive damage. Enabling the lethal option allows received death links to also send you into custody, if you have no downs left (this can be incredibly punishing!).
  • Infinite Time: Enabled by default. Upon receiving enough progression items the timer will be disabled. This makes it a lot easier to goal, but it kills all tension during the final heist (it's up to you to decide whether that's a good thing!).
  • Heist Toggles: Allows you to enable or disable heists in each tier. You still need to own the DLC for a heist to be enabled, even if it's enabled in this menu. Stealth only heists are disabled by default.

Under Options > Mod Keybinds > Criminal Dawn you can also set a key to access the upgrade menu at any time, allowing you to view your current upgrades in-game.
