Agent Lit Review 2.0.0
Agent Lit Review 2.0.0
Set up a literature workflow for your research domain by editing research-config.yaml and running python scripts/setup_research.py before the first intake.
- Configure research context, list or string note properties, the domain database view name, and optional formatting rules in one file.
- Setup synchronizes the note schema, all four note templates, helper validation, research context, Obsidian database and Dashboard, and skill formatting rules.
- Formatting rules already built into the skill are not duplicated.
- The setup script uses Python's standard library and leaves existing literature notes unchanged.
The README includes command-line and Codex first-prompt setup paths. Run setup again after changing the YAML configuration.
Agent Lit Review v1.1.1 — Zotero API intake fix
Fixes
- Literature intake can read Zotero credentials saved as Windows user environment variables even when Codex was already running. An explicitly set process variable still takes precedence.
- Intake instructions now retry a Zotero API lookup with network access when a restricted command falls back to the local export.
- README and reference metadata guidance explain how to distinguish a verified API match (
export_path: null) from a local export match.
Verified against the configured Zotero account: the key has personal-library read access, and a real article lookup matched by DOI through the API. All 36 automated tests passed. Personal research context, Dashboard, Bases, and notes were excluded.
Agent Lit Review v1.1.0 — Zotero and Mendeley support
What changed
- Resolve citation metadata through Zotero or Mendeley using local CSL-JSON/BibTeX exports or their REST APIs.
- Use a shared reference metadata adapter with consistent match status, provenance, and PDF metadata fallback.
- Configure Zotero Web API access with
ZOTERO_API_KEYandZOTERO_USER_ID; the README and reference metadata guide now include setup steps. - Update the literature intake skill and shared note templates to use provider-neutral reference fields.
Validation: 35 automated tests passed. Personal research context, Dashboard, Bases, and notes were excluded from this release.
