Tern v0.4.0
What's new
- Databases. Data in the title bar (Ctrl Shift D) looks at SQLite, Postgres, SQL Server (and Azure SQL), and Redis. Browse tables or keys, run queries with table and column completion, and see the first 1,000 rows of each result.
- Connections are read-only unless you turn on Allow writes, and each database enforces it. With writes on, Tern asks before a query that changes data.
- Passwords stay in your system keychain. SQL Server can sign in with your Windows account and use named instances.
- Copy schema gives an agent every table and column in a few short lines. A result copies as the query plus a Markdown table, or as TSV, CSV, or JSON.
- A
.dbor.sqlitefile in a repo opens right in the file view.
- More file views.
Ctrl Shift Vswitches between the view and the source.- Images, with a before-and-after view (side by side or swipe) for changed pictures.
- PDFs, in place.
- JSON, YAML, and TOML as a tree you can fold. Mistakes show their line and column.
- CSV and TSV as a table with a fixed header, up to 100 MB.
- Logs that follow the file as it grows, with text or regex filters and errors marked.
- Fixed: Markdown tables no longer squeeze short columns into one letter per line, and folder names in the file list read the right way.
