The maintained observability documentation lives in:
For bundle-managed engines, prefer ordinary Symfony event listeners (#[AsEventListener]) for ResponseMapped, RequestFailed and the other lifecycle events.
ObservabilitySetup works with LifecycleEventDispatcher, but it only observes events dispatched through that same dispatcher instance. It is therefore a helper for deliberate/manual shared-dispatcher wiring, not automatic proof that observers are active in the default bundle setup.
Application logging, metrics storage and exporters remain application responsibilities.
