How do I make Eyes?
This guide could be considered out of date and needs a bit of a rewrite!
-
First things first, go to the mod's own HomebreweryFiles > Eyes folder

If you want your Eyes to be for every race then go into "HB_ALLRACES", otherwise go into the folder of the race you want to make it exclusive to. -
Make a new folder and name it something recognisable, and avoid using spaces or punctuation marks like apostrophes.
\ -
Put up to eight PNG images in the folder, ideally 128px width by 64px height, since that seems to work out nicest in-game. Any resolution above 9x9px is allowed but aim to stick to this 2:1 aspect ratio for the best results.
(I know some vanilla eyes are 64x64px, but custom ones with this resolution always ended up looking weird)
The eight images must be named as follows:
"center" or "centre" or "open" or "opened"
"closed"
"hurt" or "damaged"
"pissed" or "mad" or "angry"
"up"
"down"
"left"
"right"

Please pay no attention to the fact that I accidentally made left and right the wrong directions...
You MUST have a center / centre / open / opened PNG for the Eyes to be valid and be imported to the game!
For any image you don't provide, the mod will use the center / centre / open / opened PNG as a filler.
Center, Closed, Pissed, Hurt

Left, Down, Right, Up

I thought it would be really funny if the character looked up at Angela or Sally with that eye design but it seems like player characters never actually use the Up eyes yet...
While in the character creator you can press the following keys to make the character change what state their eyes are using:
E - Closed
Q - Pissed
R - Hurt
W - Up
S - Down
A - Left
D - Right
They will reset to Center by themselves after a second or two.
(Left and Right end up mirrored when the Mirror Body option is toggled on)
