Purpose

This document explains the current legal status of the CeloHT project. It is intended to provide transparency for contributors, users, partners, grant providers, and the broader community.

This document is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.


Current Legal Status

CeloHT is currently an independent, open-source, community-driven initiative.

At the time of this document's publication, CeloHT operates as a collaborative project and is not presented as a publicly traded company or financial institution.

CeloHT operates independently.

No external organization automatically controls the project's governance, technical direction, treasury, or community unless explicitly approved through the governance process.


Open Source Status

The software, documentation, and educational resources developed by CeloHT are released under the Apache License, Version 2.0 unless otherwise specified.


Intellectual Property

Project contributors retain ownership of their original work while licensing contributions under the applicable project license.

Project names, logos, and branding may be protected separately under applicable intellectual property laws.


Financial Activities

CeloHT may receive funding through:

Funding does not provide governance control, ownership, or exclusive rights over the project.


No Investment Product
