1. Overview

CeloHT Quizzes provide structured assessments that help learners measure their understanding of financial literacy, blockchain technology, Web3, digital security, the Celo ecosystem, and CeloHT programs.

The purpose of quizzes is education and knowledge assessment, not financial qualification or investment promotion.

Quizzes may be delivered through digital platforms, educational sessions, community workshops, or other approved learning environments.

2. Objectives

CeloHT quizzes are designed to:

  • Reinforce educational content.

  • Measure knowledge acquisition.

  • Identify areas requiring additional explanation.

  • Encourage active learning.

  • Support instructors and community educators.

Multiple Choice

One or more correct answers.

True / False

Simple knowledge verification.

Multiple Response

Participants select all correct answers.

Scenario-Based

Participants determine the best response to a realistic situation.

Short Answer

Participants explain a concept in their own words.

Practical Assessment

Participants demonstrate a specific skill.

20. Scenario-Based Questions

Scenario-based questions can be particularly useful for security and financial education.

Example:

A user receives a message claiming to be from wallet support and is asked to provide their recovery phrase to unlock an account. What should the user do?

Expected response:

Do not provide the recovery phrase and treat the request as potentially fraudulent.

Scenario questions should focus on practical decision-making.

21. Quiz Structure

A typical quiz may contain:

Level | Questions | Recommended Time -- | -- | -- Beginner | 10–15 | 10–20 min Intermediate | 15–25 | 20–30 min Advanced | 20–40 | 30–60 min

Score thresholds may vary by program.

24. Passing Criteria

A program may establish a minimum passing score.

For example:

Recommended baseline: 70%

However, security-critical or operational programs may require higher standards.

Passing a quiz does not automatically authorize a participant to perform regulated, financial, administrative, or technical activities.

Additional requirements may apply.

25. Feedback

Where possible, quizzes should provide explanations for incorrect answers.

Good feedback should explain:

  • What the correct answer is.

  • Why it is correct.

  • Why the incorrect choice is unsafe or inaccurate.

  • Which educational resource should be reviewed.

26. Retakes

Participants may be allowed to retake assessments.

A retake policy may specify:

  • Number of attempts

  • Waiting period

  • Whether questions change

  • Whether the highest or latest score counts

  • Whether additional training is required

Retake policies should be communicated before assessment.

27. Certificates

CeloHT may issue educational completion certificates where appropriate.

A certificate should clearly identify:

  • Participant

  • Program

  • Completion date

  • Course or assessment

  • Issuing organization or program

  • Certificate identifier, if used

A certificate should not imply professional licensing or financial authorization unless such authorization legally exists.

28. Assessment Records

Where assessment records are maintained, CeloHT should consider:

  • Participant privacy

  • Data minimization

  • Retention periods

  • Access controls

  • Security

  • Accuracy

Only information necessary for the educational purpose should be collected.

29. Anti-Cheating Principles

For formal assessments, CeloHT may use measures such as:

  • Randomized questions

  • Question pools

  • Time limits

  • Multiple versions

  • Practical exercises

  • Instructor verification

The level of control should correspond to the importance of the assessment.

30. Accessibility

Quizzes should consider participants with:

  • Limited digital experience

  • Different literacy levels

  • Different languages

  • Disabilities

  • Limited internet access

Where practical, CeloHT may provide alternative formats.

31. Language Support

CeloHT may provide quizzes in:

  • Haitian Creole

  • French

  • English

Translations should preserve the meaning of technical and educational concepts.

Where a technical term has no reliable direct translation, the original term may be retained with an explanation.

32. Question Quality Standards

Questions should:

  • Test one clear concept.

  • Avoid unnecessary ambiguity.

  • Have a defensible correct answer.

  • Avoid trick wording.

  • Match the learner's level.

  • Avoid culturally unnecessary assumptions.

  • Be periodically reviewed.

33. Question Review

Question banks should be reviewed when:

  • Educational material changes.

  • Technology changes.

  • Celo ecosystem functionality changes.

  • A question becomes outdated.

  • Learners repeatedly misunderstand a question.

  • A correct answer becomes ambiguous.

34. Quiz Security

For protected assessments, CeloHT may implement:

  • Access controls

  • Authentication

  • Question randomization

  • Attempt limits

  • Secure result storage

  • Audit logs

Quiz answers and question banks should be protected where disclosure could compromise assessment integrity.

35. Educational Analytics

Quiz results can help identify:

  • Difficult concepts

  • Knowledge gaps

  • Training weaknesses

  • Strong-performing topics

  • Learner progress

Analytics should be used to improve education rather than unfairly label participants.

36. Program Evaluation

Quiz results may be combined with other indicators such as:

  • Course completion

  • Attendance

  • Practical exercises

  • Participant feedback

  • Follow-up surveys

A quiz score alone should not be treated as proof of real-world behavioral change.

D. A social network

Answer: A

B. Having a screen
C. Using a keyboard
D. Reading documentation

Answer: A

38. Example Intermediate Quiz

Intermediate assessments may include questions such as:

Question

Why should users verify the destination address before submitting a blockchain transaction?

Expected concept: Blockchain transactions may be difficult or impossible to reverse once confirmed, so an incorrect address can result in loss of funds.

Question

Why is a private key sensitive?

Expected concept: Control of the private key can provide control over the associated blockchain account.

Question

What is the purpose of a smart contract audit?

Expected concept: To identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses before or during deployment; an audit does not guarantee that a contract is completely secure.

39. Practical Assessment

For advanced participants, CeloHT may use practical assessments.

Examples:

  • Connect a wallet safely.

  • Identify a phishing attempt.

  • Verify a blockchain transaction.

  • Navigate a blockchain explorer.

  • Create a basic Git branch.

  • Submit a documentation contribution.

  • Explain a smart-contract interaction.

Practical assessments may provide stronger evidence of competency than multiple-choice questions alone.

40. Quiz Governance

Changes to core assessment frameworks should follow appropriate CeloHT governance and documentation procedures.

Educational teams may maintain routine question updates without requiring a full governance process when the changes do not materially alter program requirements.

41. Continuous Improvement

CeloHT should periodically evaluate:

  • Question quality

  • Learner performance

  • Completion rates

  • Pass rates

  • Retake rates

  • Learner feedback

  • Curriculum effectiveness

Poor-performing questions should be reviewed rather than automatically interpreted as learner failure.

42. Relationship With Other Documents

This document should be used together with:

  • PROGRAMS.md

  • WEB3_101.md

  • TUTORIALS.md

  • USER_GUIDE.md

  • RESOURCES.md

  • SECURITY.md

  • EDUCATION.md, where applicable

43. Final Statement

CeloHT quizzes are designed to transform education into measurable learning.

The objective is not simply to produce high scores. The objective is to help participants understand, apply, and responsibly use the knowledge they gain.

A successful assessment is therefore one that helps identify what a learner understands, what they need to improve, and how CeloHT can make its educational programs better.
