The web interface consists of four main sections:
- Large display of current temperature and humidity
- Real-time updates every second
- Color-coded status indicators
- Dew Point: Temperature at which water vapor condenses
- Absolute Humidity: Water vapor mass per air volume (g/m³)
- Enthalpy: Total heat content of air (kJ/kg)
Two synchronized time-series graphs:
- Temperature over time (degrees Celsius)
- Humidity over time (percentage)
Graph features:
- Zoom: Click and drag
- Pan: Shift + drag
- Reset: Double-click
- Hover: View exact values with timestamp
Scrollable table showing historical measurements:
- Timestamp
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Dew Point
- Absolute Humidity
- Enthalpy
Switch interface language using dropdown in top-right:
- Nederlands (NL)
- English (EN)
- Deutsch (DE)
- Français (FR)
- Español (ES)
Language preference is saved in browser.
Data updates automatically:
- Current values: Every 1 second
- Graphs and table: Every 5 seconds
- No manual refresh needed
Use dropdown to view different time ranges:
- Last hour
- Last 24 hours
- Last week
- Last month
- All data
Data can be exported from the table:
- Right-click on table
- Select "Export as CSV" (browser dependent)
- Or copy data directly from table
Alternatively, access SQLite database directly:
sqlite3 sensor_data.db
SELECT * FROM data_2025_12 ORDER BY timestamp DESC LIMIT 100;Graph navigation:
- Arrow keys: Pan view
- +/-: Zoom in/out
- Home: Reset view
- Escape: Clear selection
Check:
- Modbus connection: See terminal for error messages
- Serial port: Correct port in
.env - Sensor power: XY-MD02 is powered on
- Wiring: Correct A/B polarity
Application continues running and attempts reconnection:
- Check sensor power and connections
- Verify serial port availability
- Review terminal output for errors
Verify:
- Sensor calibration
- Correct register addresses in
.env - Proper division by 10 (sensor data format)
- Environmental stabilization (5-10 minutes)
Possible solutions:
- Reduce data retention period
- Clear old database tables
- Close unused browser tabs
- Check system resources
ls -lh sensor_data.dbsqlite3 sensor_data.db "VACUUM;"from database import cleanup_old_data
cleanup_old_data()Access dashboard from mobile devices:
- Ensure HOST=0.0.0.0 in
.env - Find server IP:
ipconfig(Windows) orifconfig(Linux) - On mobile browser:
http://SERVER_IP:8050 - Ensure firewall allows port 8050
For long-term monitoring:
- Set DATA_RETENTION_DAYS to reasonable value (30-90 days)
- Use SSD storage for database
- Consider scheduled database vacuum
- Monitor disk space regularly
