Sternly Worded Peninsula v1.0.1
An intermediary patch to address a few of the issues in the initial release alongside introducing a few of the improvements as promised with the initial release.

Changelog

  • Fixed several issues with the apconfig.lua file that weren't properly accounted/tested for.
  • Increased variety in the filler checks to now include various potions and scrolls (as opposed to only 50 gold for each).
  • Massively limited the pool of items in the Nexus Satchel; it no longer gives curses, board-altering passives, duplicate items on a single run, etc.
  • Fixed a few issues in the code that could return errors and some instances of redundancy.
  • Fixed some locations (like Bandit Camps and Spider Forests) not giving their respective checks when corrupted.

Planned improvements

  • Additional checks for shops and other location types or actions.
  • A few options in the .apworld to alter world generation (like potentially removing Lost Woods nodes for example).

Sternly Worded Peninsula v1.0.0
The first public release of Sternly Worded Peninsula, adding Archipelago support for Sternly Worded Adventures.

Features

  • Full Archipelago Multiworld support.
  • New Wayfarer class built around a custom item; the Nexus Satchel.
  • Archipelago checks replace loot from supported location types.
  • Node Access progression gates overworld travel.
  • Full playthrough support from game start through defeating the Anomaly.

Known limitations
This is an initial release and there are still a number of limitations:

  • Not every possible reward location has been integrated into Archipelago yet.
  • The Nexus Satchel currently draws from the full eligible item pool, so it may offer weaker/uncombined items, curses, or duplicates.
  • The overall item pool is currently fairly small, containing only Hearts, Gear Slots, Nexus Charges, Node Access, and the filler Gold.

Planned improvements
Some ideas planned for future releases include:

  • Additional checks for shops, tombs, and other location types.
  • Smarter Nexus Satchel item selection (avoiding duplicates, inferior upgrades, curses, etc.).
  • More items in the Archipelago item pool, like potions, scrolls, etc.
