Features and Configuration

Valid sets

Set Required layout
Double door Two identical complete door columns, horizontally adjacent, with the same facing.
Double fence gate Two identical gates placed end-to-end, facing the same direction.
Double trapdoor Two identical trapdoors meeting at their non-hinge edges, with opposing hinge directions.
Quad trapdoor Two valid trapdoor pairs forming a flat 2×2 square: two hinges face one way and two face the opposite way.

Exact variants matter. Different wood species, copper oxidation stages, or waxed/unwaxed copper blocks do not pair.

Default behavior

Synchronization is on for every valid set. Using a closed member opens the set; using an open member closes it. A later valid action also repairs a mismatch left by external activity. Invalid or incomplete blocks keep normal vanilla behavior.

Administrator controls

Any player can rename a vanilla stick DoorControl in an anvil and crouch + use it on a valid entrance for that set's options. Operators use AdminDoorControl for global options.

  • Crouch + use the stick in air to open global settings.
  • Crouch + use the stick on any member of a valid set to configure that set.
  • /scriptevent andydoors:admin settings opens the same global panel.

Global settings: Enable Better Double Doors and Redstone Synchronization. Per-set settings: Synchronization (on by default) and Proximity (off by default).

Breaking any member deletes the set's saved settings. A replacement matching set starts fresh with Synchronization on and Proximity off.
