HELLO OS v0.2.1 β Experimental Prototype
HELLO OS v0.2.1 β experimental prototype
This release tags the current main-branch source snapshot. HELLO OS is a local-first prototype for agent identities, persistent application state, APIs, and MCP tools. It is not a production cloud operating system.
Included
- Next.js application with database-backed API and Prisma data storage.
- MCP tool integration with an in-process endpoint and optional standalone service.
- Agent memory, missions, traces, AML static validation, and other prototype APIs.
- Documentation and download portal improvements.
Verification
GitHub Actions CI passed on the tagged main commit, including TypeScript typecheck, production build, and the test workflow. The separate audit snapshot records 27 database/API-backed areas, 14 simulated areas, 27 of 29 API routes responding in the audited setup, and 11 test files passing. Those figures describe that audit run and are not service-level guarantees.
Known limitations
- Some scores and hashes, dashboard agents, evolution output, snapshots, handshake version, and the βCI <200msβ display are synthetic or unsupported claims. See the Simulation and Demo Data wiki.
- Firecracker microVMs, live agent evolution, GitAgentHUB hosting, cross-server Mesh, and most planned connectors are not implemented. See Roadmap and Infrastructure Limits.
- This release contains GitHub-generated source archives only. It does not include an APK, desktop installer, Debian package, or published GHCR image. See Publish your first package for the current package status and instructions.
- Use the repository README for source and Docker Compose setup. Review the security and data-persistence boundaries before exposing an instance publicly.
