Roadmap and Infrastructure Limits

HELLO OS roadmap and infrastructure limits

HELLO OS is a local-first agent platform prototype. Several architectural ideas are not implemented as operational infrastructure. A page, schema, mock screen, API-shaped response, or design diagram does not make a capability available.

Not built at the audit date

Capability Audit status What would be needed before claiming it works
Firecracker microVM execution Not built Provisioning, isolation, lifecycle management, security review, and repeatable VM tests
Live autonomous agent evolution Not built A real agent execution loop, evaluation inputs, persisted results, reproducible comparisons, and reviewed promotion controls
GitAgentHUB hosting Not built A deployed service, repository persistence, authorization, API contract, and operational support
Mesh across separate servers Not built Authenticated cross-host transport, identity and authorization, replay protection, failure handling, and multi-node tests
Approximately 95 of 100 planned connectors Not built Implemented adapters with documented permissions, schemas, provider setup, and integration tests

These are roadmap boundaries from the 20 October 2026 audit. No availability date is implied.

Prototype capabilities need narrow language

A persisted checkpoint row is not a virtual machine snapshot. A sample agent is not a running agent. A curriculum or evolution endpoint returning simulated data is not a self-improving agent. A connector registry entry is not proof of a working provider integration. Use the simulation register when describing these surfaces.

Promotion rule

Move a roadmap item into “implemented” only after all of the following exist:

  1. The feature code is present in the default branch.
  2. Its API and data model behavior are documented, including authorization and failure modes.
  3. Automated tests exercise success, invalid input, and relevant failure paths.
  4. The feature has been verified in the supported deployment mode.
  5. User-facing claims and screenshots match the shipped behavior.
