MeltySave 0.25.0 - Scene sharing, customization and Freeze pose (Preview)
Pre-releaseMeltySave 0.25.0 — Scene sharing, customization and Freeze pose
Preview release for MeltyNight VR Premium 0.6.7 / Windows x64, collecting the locally developed changes since public v0.8.8.
Changes since v0.8.8
- Clothing recoloring with reusable Colors, Absolute Color, per-character scene persistence and native reset. The default list follows the selected costume set, retaining temporarily removed pieces; Show all outfits expands the list.
- Partial dye and two-color gradients on mapped surfaces, including additional ICHIGO, INABA KAYA and MANUKA regions. Absolute processing applies to the selected partial area or both gradient endpoints. Outside colors, protected ear interiors and mapped tail patterns are retained. Saved/shared scenes include resolved colors and options; older tint-mode scenes keep their color mode.
- Portable
.meltysceneexport/import with optional thumbnail, dependency review, fresh slot creation and missing-music fallback. Packages contain scene data, not game assets, music, executables or global color libraries. - Per-character selection of nine native voice sets, stored in scenes. This is voice-bank selection, not custom voice import.
- ICHIGO Body controls: belly slim/smooth, Overall and individual body proportions, Pelvis Width and Body Firmness. Neutral thickness/width is 50; lower values slim/narrow. Firmness starts at native 0. Body editing remains ICHIGO-only.
- Native skinned body-contact surfaces refresh after shape edits and scene restoration. Existing interaction components and collider identities remain in place. This is not a new continuous soft-body collision system or a claim to eliminate the general SteamVR 32-collider warning.
- ICHIGO waist and abdomen contour refinements below Waist 50, including the remaining lower transition and front fullness. Reset restores the native correction state; original game assets are untouched.
- Freeze pose at the bottom of Appearance pages: hold the selected character's current skeleton pose and physical motion, then resume. Held pose and animation time persist per character in local/shared scenes. Camera and manual character placement remain usable.
Install / update
Close the game. Back up the existing plugin DLLs and MeltySave/saves outside the plugins folder. Extract MeltySave-v0.25.0.zip beside MeltyNight VR.exe, replacing the supplied files. BepInEx 6 Unity IL2CPP Windows x64 is required separately. The ZIP includes English installation instructions, user guide, release notes, decoder licenses and the existing music-credit catalogue; it contains no music or original game assets.
Use the named installation ZIP, not GitHub's automatic Source code archives. The public repository contains distribution documentation.
Compatibility and limits
- Existing saves are not rewritten automatically. Frozen-pose shared scenes require reader 0.25.0; other feature combinations retain their existing minimum reader requirements.
- Regional dye support is mapped, not universal. Some ICHIGO Harness/Skirt, INABA KAYA Top/Shoes and MANUKA Shirt/Bra/Shoes surfaces remain outside the bounded regional method. INABA fur and face-shadow regions remain protected where no safe color path has been verified. This does not remove already supported solid-color controls.
- Texture shading and lighting still affect Absolute Color. Extreme body settings can produce garment overlap or unnatural transitions; other character body rigs and game versions are unverified.
- Freeze pose is not a global pause: audio and blendshape-based facial expressions may continue. A pose saved during an animation blend can transition when resumed. Uncheck before choosing a new moving pose if you want it to play immediately.
Validation
331 managed checks passed, alongside focused native runs for freeze/UI/persistence, body contour and contacts, repeated map loads/native kiss lifecycle, existing physique/belly controls and body/dye coexistence. Eight existing slots passed a read-only portable compatibility audit. The final rebuild changes only an opt-in no-HMD torso test fixture; production source matches the broader tested checkpoint. The entire historical regression suite was not rerun for the final patch.
The user accepted v0.8.8, v0.16.0 and the v0.24.3 upper-waist improvement in an HMD. Final v0.25.0 controller/visual acceptance remains pending. Please check front/side/rear body shape, clothing clearance, contact feel, Freeze pose in Idle and another pose, resume, and scene save/load.
