BPS v0.15.1 - Burika favicon everywhere
Adds the Burika mark as the browser-tab favicon on every web surface: the Control Center concept pages and the live hub wall + probe radar (the client dashboard already had it). Hub pages embed the icon as a self-contained data URI so nothing extra ships to the VM.

BPS v0.15.0 - the Hub goes live
The Control Center concepts are now a working service: agents push, the hub aggregates, the wall and the radar render live data.
Agent: fleet uplink (opt-in)
Create ~/.bps/hub.json with the hub URL, your org's token, and site identity — from then on every trace and speed test pushes a compact summary to the hub. Best-effort by design: a down hub never affects the client-side diagnosis. Off by default; requires client consent.
Hub: hub/hub_server.py (stdlib + SQLite, zero dependencies)
/— the fleet wall, live: KPIs, severity-sorted client tiles, verdict-change feed, blame grouping, and correlated transit events (the same suspect degrading ≥ 2 clients at once)/map— the probe radar, live: every agent plotted on South Africa, storm cells where neighbouring probes degrade together, automatic classification (multi-ISP + one region = infrastructure/power · one ISP + many regions = provider core · shared transit suspect = upstream event), national internet-weather index- Token provisioning CLI, staff-token gate on all views,
seed_demo.pyfor demos, README with deploy steps
Verified end-to-end: a seeded 12-client fleet produced the Angola Cables correlation, a Polokwane infrastructure cell and an Openserve core event — and then a real agent traced google.com and appeared live on both the wall and the map.

BPS v0.14.1 - slim tray
The tray menu is now just Open dashboard (left-click default) and Quit - every removed item (path test, speedtest, last report, history, reports folder) lives in the dashboard in a better form. Removing the old Tk dialog layer also drops tkinter from the bundle: 38.4 MB -> 34.7 MB.

BPS v0.14.0 - Control Center
Adds the Control Center — a new button in the dashboard header that opens the Burika-staff concept previews, served locally by the agent:
Fleet wall (/control-center)
Every client on one screen: KPI strip, correlated-event banner (the same transit AS degrading multiple clients at once), severity-sorted client tiles with per-destination verdicts and micro-trends, an incident feed with pre-classified blame, and a blame summary.
Probe radar (/control-center/map)
A South Africa map where every deployed BPS device acts as a sensor. Storm cells form where neighbouring probes degrade together, and events classify themselves: many ISPs + one region = infrastructure/power (load-shedding overlay included), one ISP + many regions = provider core, all probes on international routes = submarine cable. Topped with a national internet-weather index.
Both pages are labelled concept previews — static designs that become live views when the central Hub service ships. The client-facing dashboard is unchanged apart from the one discreet button, so a client looking at their own screen never sees other clients' data.

BPS v0.13.0 - the honest speed test
A speed test with the part every other speed test leaves out.
Live gauge
Animated arc + real-time throughput curve, streaming while the test runs — download and upload against the nearest Cloudflare edge (the card shows which PoP, e.g. CPT/JNB).
Bufferbloat grade ⭐
Latency is probed continuously while the download saturates the line. The rise over idle latency is graded A+ to F — this is the number that explains "the speed test says 200 Mbps but Teams stutters whenever anything downloads", and ordinary speed tests never show it.
The contrast strip
After the run, the card writes the client-facing conclusion itself:
"Your line delivers 206 Mbps — yet the site still takes 1.9 s to first byte. The line is not the bottleneck; the path or the destination server is."
That's the whole BPS argument in one sentence, generated automatically. Speed results also flow into Copy summary.

BPS v0.12.0 - Mission Control complete
Completes the Mission Control concept — everything from the design mockup is now in the product.
Hop trend sparklines
Every hop in the table gets a 24-hour trend: 12 two-hour bars, red where that window saw real loss or an RTT spike. Degradation is visible per-hop before it becomes an outage.
Compare mode
Pick any two stored runs — before vs after the ISP's "fix" — and get a delta summary (end-to-end, worst loss, first byte, verdict) plus a hop-by-hop diff table. Hops are matched by IP so route changes don't fake improvements.
Copy summary
One click writes the ticket for you: a client-ready paragraph with verdict, path, handshake stages, and evidence — straight to the clipboard.
Report / PDF export
The Report button opens the print-ready branded report for the current run (or the exact moment you're replaying) — Ctrl+P → Save as PDF is the export.

BPS v0.11.0 - Mission Control
The "Mission Control" concept, shipped. This is the release that turns BPS from a snapshot tool into a monitoring tool.
Time travel ⭐
New 24-hour path-history timeline: an availability lane plus end-to-end latency bars. Click any bar and the entire dashboard replays that stored trace — path, hops, map, handshake — frozen at that moment, with one click back to live. "The site is slow every evening" is now a picture you can show an ISP.
Watchlist
Click ☆ Watch and BPS re-traces that destination every 15 minutes in the background, building the timeline on its own. Watchlist survives restarts.
Path-health score
A 0–100 ring a client understands at a glance, scored from effective loss, jitter, verdict, first-byte time, and how today compares with the destination's own recent median.
Mission Control hero band
Verdict fused with the DNS → TCP → TLS → first-byte journey, plus a destination facts card (path size, networks, end-to-end, suspect owner, stored-trace count).
The living path
Packets now travel the route on the dashboard — and visibly stall on the damaged segment while the suspect hop pulses. Respects reduced-motion settings; the emailed report stays print-static.

BPS v0.10.0 - A-to-Z diagnostics
Answers the real question behind "the site is slow": is it the network path, or the destination server?
New: Point A -> Point Z handshake strip
Every trace now also times the application handshake to the destination — DNS resolve, TCP connect, TLS handshake, first byte, HTTP status — each stage colour-coded. A clean path with a slow first-byte means the destination server is the problem, and now there's evidence either way.
New: physically-honest map
Hop locations are validated against the speed of light (a router answering in 31 ms cannot be 16,000 km away). Anycast/backbone IPs registered at corporate HQ — the classic Google-in-Mountain-View artefact — are dropped from the map instead of drawing fake intercontinental paths.
New: jitter + average RTT columns
Congestion shows as jitter before it shows as loss; the live table now surfaces both.
Fixed: same-ASN hops occasionally showed two different network names (PeeringDB record race); duplicate "X - X" names collapsed.

Carries forward everything in v0.9.0 (Burika glass redesign).
BPS v0.9.0 - Burika glass redesign
Complete visual overhaul using the exact design tokens from burika.co.za — and the first EV-signed release.
Code signing (new)
Both downloads are now Authenticode-signed by BURIKA DATACENTRE SOLUTIONS (PTY) LTD (Certum EV, RFC-3161 timestamped). EV signatures carry instant SmartScreen reputation, so the browser 'virus detected' block and the Defender false positives are gone — no exclusions needed on client machines anymore.
