Release list
KeyJig 1.2.4
Bug fix
- Keynote 15: Apple Keynote 15 "Creator Studio" is a separate app installation from Keynote 14, so KeyJig targets whichever version was most recently active.
Internal
- Minimum macOS raised to 12.0. Tested on macOS 15 macOS 27.
KeyJig 1.2.3
Bug fix
- Keynote communication could hang after a macOS upgrade. Reset or undecided Automation permissions blocked AppleScript requests. KeyJig now requests Automation permission more reliably.
Internal
- Minimum macOS raised to 12.0
KeyJig 1.2.2
Bug fixes
-
Upside-down text in some PDF imports. Some PDFs (notably from OmniGraffle) showed flipped text after conversion. Caused by a Y-flip
cmcombined with a negative-dTmapplying a negative Y-scale to per-run transforms; fixed inPDFStreamScanner(PDFToSVGConverter.swift) with regression coverage. -
Extra
-->showing in metadata. Exported SVG metadata sometimes included a stray comment ending.CreatorandProducervalues now strip the terminator before embedding; existing outputs are unchanged. -
Slow rejection of very large SVGs. Oversized files could take up to a minute to be rejected. Validation previously scanned >50 MB SVGs case-insensitively (~1 s/MB); inputs now fail fast with the same size limit.
Internal
- Moved the 50 MB SVG limit constant from
ClipboardHelpers.swifttoSVGProcessing.swiftto keep the ingest gate and tests together. No behavior change. - CI runs
KeyJigTestson allmainpushes and PRs.

KeyJig v1.2.1
Bug fixes and reliability improvements
- UTF-16 SVG file support: SVG files saved in UTF-16 encoding now work
when dragged to the widow, menu-bar panel, or from AppleScript. - Serialized pulls: Prevents race conditions when triggering multiple pull
operations concurrently. Keynote pull requests now serialize to avoid parallel
AppleScript streams. - Crop accuracy: Clipboard pulls and chart fallbacks now correctly apply
cropping when Ghostscript or mutool is available, eliminating uncropped PDFs. - Responsive UI during menus: Clipboard watcher timer now stays active while
menus and modal dialogs are open, keeping button states current.

KeyJig 1.2.0
Faster conversion and less dependency on Inkscape
- Native PDF → SVG — KeyJig now converts PDFs to SVG without relying on external utilities as often.
- Open PDF and Illustrator files without Inkscape — dropping a PDF or
.aifile onto the app no longer requires Inkscape. Use the native path for most files. - Faster processing — fewer subprocesses and less main-thread work make pulls, conversions, and previews feel faster.
New: output a PDF when SVG isn't the right target
- Option-drag or Shift-drag — Produce a PDF rather than SVG when applicable. Place Apple Keynote slides or Microsoft Excel charts directly into page layout apps like Adobe InDesign.
Preview and clipboard fixes
- Content format in metadata — preview shows whether graphic is SVG or a PDF.
- Reload from Clipboard — consistent visual feedback and a reliable reload.
- Canvas preservation — a clipboard with no usable graphics no longer wipes the canvas.
Polish
- Tighter SVG content filter; block preview network access by default.
- Unified prompts and wording across dialogs and localizations.
- Option-drag uses file promises for cleaner drops into other apps.
- Smarter drag icons (correct proportions, dark mode, clear option state).
- Initial launch no longer surfaces a spurious error on a clean run.

KeyJig 1.1.2
KeyJig 1.1.2
Improved
- Undo for canvas clear — ⌘Z now reverses Clear; ⇧⌘Z re-clears.
- Content history — ⌘[ and ⌘] step backward and forward through recently loaded graphics in each window, browser-style.
- Always-visible pull buttons — A new setting (Settings → Appearance) keeps the Keynote pull buttons visible without holding Option, useful when the window is pinned to the menu bar.
- AppleScript: New result file path property returns the path of the most recent output file (pulled Keynote PDF or staged SVG bridge file).
Fixed
- Stricter Keynote version check — KeyJig now blocks gracefully on Keynote versions older than 13.1 (the release that added native SVG import) with a clear error message instead of a silent failure.
- SVG import validation; preview webview no longer makes network requests.
- Better permissions feedback — Clearer messaging when Accessibility or Automation permission is missing.
- Simplified appearance of hint text
- Bug fix: frontmost app is now correctly restored after a clipboard-based Keynote pull.
