@DANIELSSF DANIELSSF released this 14 Oct 17:31

Nook 0.2.1 updates the native app and its terminal companion features. The website includes the current interactive demos and a chaptered product film.

Changes

  • Open Nook's own usage card from the gauge without sending /usage to the terminal when live limits are enabled. It combines live session figures with Claude's last saved usage reading, including weekly model limits, and marks the source and age of saved values.
  • Continue following Claude conversations moved to the background, including when a background job changes its session after /clear.
  • Refine the cat's face, connected body, shaped legs and paws, walking, gestures and animation pacing in both the native app and the website.
  • Add the website's product film with playback controls, chapter navigation and a reduced-motion alternative.

Install

Download Nook.zip, unzip it and move Nook.app to Applications. Connect an existing macOS Terminal tab or open one from Nook. Install and authenticate Claude Code or Codex separately.

Requirements: macOS 27 or later, Apple Silicon. The interface is currently in Spanish. This development build is signed ad hoc and is not notarized; macOS may require confirmation in System Settings → Privacy & Security on the first launch. No automatic updater is included.

Direct connections currently support macOS Terminal. The richer conversation, model and usage controls are specific to Claude Code. Experimental capture privacy remains off by default; scope and limitations.

This is an early development build, signed ad hoc and not notarized. macOS may require confirmation in System Settings → Privacy & Security before the first launch. No automatic updater is included.

Direct connections currently support macOS Terminal. Claude's conversation and control features go beyond the text mirror available for Codex. Closing a Nook tab keeps the original terminal open. Experimental capture privacy is off by default and its behavior depends on the recording app; see the scope and limitations.
