What's included

  • Live connections to individual macOS Terminal tabs, with multiline messages, drafts, slash-command completion, dictation and image attachments.
  • Claude Code conversations, interactive questions, model and effort controls, usage information, subagents and background shells.
  • System, light and dark themes; soft tab colors, animated icons, tab reordering and optional notification sounds.
  • A home screen and welcome tour, plus a customizable cat with gestures, games, naps and a gentle nighttime wake-up.
  • A responsive product website with interactive demos, light and dark themes, and reduced-motion support.

Install

  1. Download Nook.zip below and unzip it.
  2. Move Nook.app to Applications and open it.
  3. Connect an existing Terminal tab or open a new one from Nook. Allow Automation for Terminal when macOS asks.

Requirements: macOS 27 or later, Apple Silicon. Install and authenticate Claude Code or Codex separately. The app interface is currently in Spanish.

This is an early development build, signed ad hoc and not notarized. macOS may require confirmation in System Settings → Privacy & Security before the first launch. No automatic updater is included.

Direct connections currently support macOS Terminal. Claude's conversation and control features go beyond the text mirror available for Codex. Closing a Nook tab keeps the original terminal open. Experimental capture privacy is off by default and its behavior depends on the recording app; see the scope and limitations.

SHA-256: the attached SHA256SUMS.txt lets you verify Nook.zip after downloading.
