GameForge 1.1.0
What's New in 1.1.0
- 4 Web Engine Genres:
topdown: Island exploration, chasing slimes, burst attacks, coin collecting and chest escape.platformer: Physics side-scroller with coyote time (100ms), jump buffering (120ms), variable jump height, stomps, spikes, and ground checkpoints.arena: Walled-pit wave survival with auto-aim assistance, dash dodging (Z), escalating waves, pickups, and boss brutes.roguelike: Room-to-room dungeon crawling with key-locked exits, potions, melee sword combat, and wall-drifting ghosts.
- Genre-Aware Automated Playtesting:
forge_playtest policy=autodetects the game genre and drives genre-adapted controls (holding jumps for platformers, circle-strafing and shooting for arena, maze navigation and wall-unsticking for roguelike).
- Core Bug Fixes & Hardenings:
- Fixed
time_stretch/pitch_shiftdropping short audio buffers under 40ms to silence. - Fixed layered SFX presets degrading to square-wave blips when parameters are supplied.
- Fixed
godot.pyexport template installation flattening zip directories and failing on patch releases. - Set Godot 4 Web preset to single-threaded (
threads/export_type=0) for zero-config static hosting. - Fixed project-relative path routing in
forge_playtest. - Fixed
unreal.pyhandling of uninitialized project ledgers.
- Fixed
- Test Suite: Expanded from 59 to 75 tests, 100% passing locally.
GameForge 1.0.0
First public release.
Nine tools, ten skills, zero core changes: sound effects, music with a MIDI file, NPC voices, pixel-art sprites and autotiling tilesets, low-poly 3D, Godot 4 / Unity / Blender / Unreal integration, a playtester that actually plays the build, and one-click export.
Everything runs offline by default (pure Python + Pillow). AI providers are optional.
