Smartcar functionalities including obstacle avoidance

Description

CarEship has a team of staff whose job is to control and monitor the car to make sure that our customer’s orders arrive at the destination in perfect condition. These features below ensure that our monitoring staff will be able to remotely control the car with ease.

Functional requirements

  1. The car shall be able to move in different directions, such as left, right, forward, backwards.
  2. The car shall be able to change speed i.e, reduce or increase the speed.
  3. The car shall be controlled remotely with a joystick.
  4. The car shall be able to avoid obstacles.
  5. The car shall be able to drive by itself.

Non-Functional requirements

  1. The car has good reliability in detecting nearby objects and thus should detect and avoid an obstacle at most 40 cm before it.
  2. The sensors used in the car/emulator give a 100% accurate representation of the environment.
