TRYX Panorama Manager 2.1.0

This release replaces the legacy Qt Widgets frontend with one Qt Quick desktop application and a separate headless runtime. Closing, restarting, or explicitly quitting the GUI no longer transfers display ownership away from the runtime.

Highlights

  • New Qt Quick interface for Dashboard, Display, and Settings.
  • Native Linux StatusNotifierItem and DBusMenu tray integration, plus freedesktop desktop notifications. The explicit Quit action now exits the GUI reliably while the runtime and display continue working.
  • PASE media editor with Fit, Fill, Crop, Stretch, zoom, pan, rotation, and an exact transform preview.
  • Export eligible device media, Save as new, crash-safe Replace original, and verified deletion of writable user media.
  • Full-screen and split-screen layouts, up to three overlay metrics per area, CPU/GPU badges, brightness, backlight, mirror, and waterfall controls.
  • Real-time CPU/GPU metrics and runtime-owned keepalive.
  • Legacy serial/ADB and printer-class PASE devices remain supported.
  • Local firmware package selection and validation with a guarded runtime workflow and persistent recovery interlock.
  • Project-owned clean-room protobuf schemas. No vendor media, firmware, keys, or proprietary upgrade_tool binary are included.

Packages

Native packages are attached for Fedora 43, Fedora 44, Ubuntu 24.04 and Linux Mint 22, and Arch Linux. A source archive and SHA256SUMS are included.

The packages do not contain preset videos. Upload your own image, GIF, or video through Media Library.

After upgrading an existing manual or source installation, reload and restart the user service:

systemctl --user daemon-reload
systemctl --user restart tryx-panorama.service

Release packages were rebuilt and tested in clean CI for all supported distribution targets. The Fedora 44 RPM was also installed and validated against a physical printer-class PASE device. The Qt Quick GUI, native tray Quit path, separate runtime lifetime, API 8 connection, and active display session were verified. Physical firmware flashing was not performed as part of this release validation.
