Highlights

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.0 is the first formal public release of the substantially complete core product. It brings together long-form philosophy articles, Big History, conceptual maps, comparisons, global search, and guided learning paths in one connected browser-based atlas.

  • All 191 canonical articles—146 philosopher profiles and 45 philosophy, branch, school, tradition, movement, method, and framework articles—meet the universal 2,000-word depth floor.
  • The walkable Museum contains 26 curated/open galleries, 105 rooms, 191 primary exhibits, and 409 supplemental/context exhibits, for 600 interpreted stops.
  • Museum wayfinding includes the chronological Gallery 01–26 route, a central crosscut, continuous route inlay, Museum Map, guided travel, fast travel, and stable direct exhibit routes.
  • First-person movement supports Standard and Fast pacing, jumping, sliding, slide-cancel momentum, mouse or drag-look controls, and touch movement.
  • The complete Museum directory and guided travel remain available without free movement.
  • The site is static, account-free, and usable without a backend, advertising, subscription, or paid service.

Editorial status

Depth and completed claim review are separate. At release:

  • 122 records have a current claim review;
  • 66 records are bibliography-only;
  • 3 records are unreviewed; and
  • 0 review locks are stale.

Bibliography-only and unreviewed records have not completed claim review. Philosophy Atlas is an independent educational project and is not a peer-reviewed or independently fact-checked publication.

Technical foundation

Philosophy Atlas is built with React, TypeScript, Vite, React Three Fiber, and Three.js. Local TypeScript data powers the static application, and GitHub Pages deploys it only after the repository's manifest, routing, Museum, media, universal-depth, editorial, accuracy, integrity, TypeScript/build, and bundle gates pass.

Ongoing work

Work after v1.0.0 will focus on completing formal claim review, enriching claim-to-source and relationship coverage, routine maintenance, and targeted visual refinement.
