Choose a tag to compare

@Da3dalusCode Da3dalusCode released this 10 Aug 13:26

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.2 expands the Museum while making its current editorial state clearer and more precise.

Highlights

  • Expanded the Museum to 192 canonical exhibits and 603 interpreted stops, including a new Fyodor Dostoevsky article and focused analytic, Enlightenment, and Gallery 18 installations.
  • Applied the separate standard-compliant exhibit review to 121 canonical exhibits, with sourced article links, object provenance, responsive object-led interpretation, visitor guides, and fitted wall invitations. The remaining 71 canonical exhibits are still unreviewed under this standard.
  • Improved exhibit-panel and plaque rendering across wide and narrow screens, preserving full object compositions and readable title and invitation hierarchy.
  • Strengthened desktop and touch visits with safer multi-touch controls, responsive resize and orientation handling, reliable mouse-look recovery after Escape, and fixes for placements, fast travel, turn-court seams, and display regressions.
  • Refined Gallery 15's open crossroads and corrected targeted Museum imagery and contextual curation with provenance-backed objects.
  • Added richer share previews, favicon and social metadata, plus dedicated release checks for mobile controls, plaque fit, and exhibit-review contracts.

Editorial status

All 192 canonical full articles meet the 2,000-word depth floor, and 123 articles have current claim review. Article claim review and Museum exhibit review remain separate; the full editorial program is not complete.

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.1 — First Shared Release

@Da3dalusCode Da3dalusCode released this 07 Aug 00:54

First shared release

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.1 is the first release being actively shared outside the repository. It is a deliberately small public-facing patch over the substantially complete v1.0.0 core product.

What changed since v1.0.0

  • Refined the Museum onboarding flow so a first visit begins with a clearer entrance and orientation sequence.
  • Corrected the Grand Entrance welcome composition and aligned it with the reception desk.
  • Replaced the generic welcome plaque with a dedicated Enter the Conversation sign and a quieter, unified text hierarchy.
  • Redesigned the Grand Entrance pilasters as a coherent 16-support, full-height architectural system framing the public entrance, Welcome composition, Gallery 01 threshold, and room-wide ceiling rhythm.
  • Updated the README, package metadata, and GitHub About description to reflect the current live, shareable state.

Current product

  • 191 long-form canonical articles: 146 philosopher profiles and 45 philosophy, branch, school, tradition, movement, method, and framework articles.
  • Complete walkable Museum: 26 curated/open galleries, 105 rooms, 191 primary exhibits, and 409 supplemental/context exhibits—600 interpreted stops in total.
  • Big History, Branch Explorer, Philosophy Map, philosopher profiles, comparisons, learning paths, global search, guided Museum travel, directory access, and direct exhibit links.
  • Static, account-free access with no backend, advertising, subscription, or paid service requirement.

Editorial status

Depth and completed claim review remain separate. At this release, 122 records have current claim review, 66 are bibliography-only, 3 are unreviewed, and no review locks are stale. Bibliography-only and unreviewed records have not completed claim review. Philosophy Atlas is an independent educational project, not a peer-reviewed or independently fact-checked publication.

Release verification

The release commit passed the locked dependency install, compiled-manifest checks, 7,670-check Museum masterplan validation, building-plan validation, routing audit, full Museum and plaque audit, media/provenance audit, universal 191-article depth gate, reviewed-article gate, editorial checks, accuracy and integrity audits, TypeScript production build, bundle budgets, GitHub Pages deployment, and a clean production-browser smoke test.

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Da3dalusCode Da3dalusCode released this 06 Aug 14:03

Highlights

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.0 is the first formal public release of the substantially complete core product. It brings together long-form philosophy articles, Big History, conceptual maps, comparisons, global search, and guided learning paths in one connected browser-based atlas.

  • All 191 canonical articles—146 philosopher profiles and 45 philosophy, branch, school, tradition, movement, method, and framework articles—meet the universal 2,000-word depth floor.
  • The walkable Museum contains 26 curated/open galleries, 105 rooms, 191 primary exhibits, and 409 supplemental/context exhibits, for 600 interpreted stops.
  • Museum wayfinding includes the chronological Gallery 01–26 route, a central crosscut, continuous route inlay, Museum Map, guided travel, fast travel, and stable direct exhibit routes.
  • First-person movement supports Standard and Fast pacing, jumping, sliding, slide-cancel momentum, mouse or drag-look controls, and touch movement.
  • The complete Museum directory and guided travel remain available without free movement.
  • The site is static, account-free, and usable without a backend, advertising, subscription, or paid service.

Editorial status

Depth and completed claim review are separate. At release:

  • 122 records have a current claim review;
  • 66 records are bibliography-only;
  • 3 records are unreviewed; and
  • 0 review locks are stale.

Bibliography-only and unreviewed records have not completed claim review. Philosophy Atlas is an independent educational project and is not a peer-reviewed or independently fact-checked publication.

Technical foundation

Philosophy Atlas is built with React, TypeScript, Vite, React Three Fiber, and Three.js. Local TypeScript data powers the static application, and GitHub Pages deploys it only after the repository's manifest, routing, Museum, media, universal-depth, editorial, accuracy, integrity, TypeScript/build, and bundle gates pass.

Ongoing work

Work after v1.0.0 will focus on completing formal claim review, enriching claim-to-source and relationship coverage, routine maintenance, and targeted visual refinement.
