First shared release

Philosophy Atlas v1.0.1 is the first release being actively shared outside the repository. It is a deliberately small public-facing patch over the substantially complete v1.0.0 core product.

What changed since v1.0.0

  • Refined the Museum onboarding flow so a first visit begins with a clearer entrance and orientation sequence.
  • Corrected the Grand Entrance welcome composition and aligned it with the reception desk.
  • Replaced the generic welcome plaque with a dedicated Enter the Conversation sign and a quieter, unified text hierarchy.
  • Redesigned the Grand Entrance pilasters as a coherent 16-support, full-height architectural system framing the public entrance, Welcome composition, Gallery 01 threshold, and room-wide ceiling rhythm.
  • Updated the README, package metadata, and GitHub About description to reflect the current live, shareable state.

Current product

  • 191 long-form canonical articles: 146 philosopher profiles and 45 philosophy, branch, school, tradition, movement, method, and framework articles.
  • Complete walkable Museum: 26 curated/open galleries, 105 rooms, 191 primary exhibits, and 409 supplemental/context exhibits—600 interpreted stops in total.
  • Big History, Branch Explorer, Philosophy Map, philosopher profiles, comparisons, learning paths, global search, guided Museum travel, directory access, and direct exhibit links.
  • Static, account-free access with no backend, advertising, subscription, or paid service requirement.

Editorial status

Depth and completed claim review remain separate. At this release, 122 records have current claim review, 66 are bibliography-only, 3 are unreviewed, and no review locks are stale. Bibliography-only and unreviewed records have not completed claim review. Philosophy Atlas is an independent educational project, not a peer-reviewed or independently fact-checked publication.

Release verification

The release commit passed the locked dependency install, compiled-manifest checks, 7,670-check Museum masterplan validation, building-plan validation, routing audit, full Museum and plaque audit, media/provenance audit, universal 191-article depth gate, reviewed-article gate, editorial checks, accuracy and integrity audits, TypeScript production build, bundle budgets, GitHub Pages deployment, and a clean production-browser smoke test.

Licensing note

The site is free to visit. The repository does not currently have a repository-wide software license. Museum media retains item-specific source, credit, license, likeness, derivative, and rights metadata.
