G-AcidBase 1.1.1

@DakaGoa DakaGoa released this 06 Oct 20:09

[1.1.1] - 2026-10-06

Added

  • A Windows installer, G-AcidBase-Setup-1.1.1.exe: it puts the plugin and the standalone app where DAWs look for them - the standard VST3 folder every host scans (Windows asks for administrator permission once) or any custom folder - adds an Add/Remove-Programs entry, installs with no window at all through --silent , and removes everything again through --uninstall.
  • The plugin checks for a new release by itself, once per session, on the first window opening. It stays silent unless a newer version is really available, so an unreachable feed and an up-to-date build say nothing; CHECK FOR UPDATES by hand still always answers, and reopening the window never repeats the automatic request.
  • TOOLS → CHANGE LOG opens the full release history on the product site, and the up-to-date dialog links the running version's notes.

Changed

  • The update dialog's download link now goes straight to the new version's installer instead of the package, and the size it quotes is the installer's.
  • The product page's release notes and download section are generated from this changelog and the release's assets, so they name the package, the installer and the published checksums without anyone pasting links by hand.

@DakaGoa DakaGoa released this 05 Oct 03:28

G-AcidBase v1.1.0 - 4x oversampled acid bass synthesizer for Goa trance. Original 303-inspired synthesis, not a circuit-identical emulation.

Windows x64 - VST3 instrument and standalone, 50 factory presets.

Download

G-AcidBase-Windows-x64.zip (5,798,127 bytes, SHA-256 09781d8e3e03f792448792436531e2b7976c4bb7b438745ca31c6af51558131c).

Unzip it, copy G-AcidBase.vst3 into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Common\VST3\, or run G-AcidBase.exe directly. Every file in the archive is listed with its own SHA-256 in G-AcidBase/manifest.json.

What is in the box

  • Bandlimited oscillator into a nonlinear resonant ladder filter, accent and slide, 4x oversampling with reported integer latency.
  • 16-step sequencer with gate, accent and slide per step, plus pattern banks and pattern chains.
  • Sequencer transport: RUN is the sequencer's play button - it starts the sequence from any play mode, browsing the 50 presets keeps it running, and choosing MIDI play mode stops it.
  • LFOs, probability, ratchets and microtiming per step, MIDI modulation matrix, macros with morphing, controller pickup and relative modes, undo/redo and A/B compare.
  • Right-click any continuous control for MIDI CC learn; MIDI file export with native drag-out to the DAW.
  • Animated header logo driven by host tempo and filter resonance.
  • TOOLS > CHECK FOR UPDATES reads one anonymous GET of the version feed on the product site and tells you, in a dialog over the plugin window, whether you are up to date or a newer release is out - linking straight to the new package and its release notes.
  • An About card behind the header's version line, linking the product page, this repository and the current release.

Verification

Two ctest suites gate the package: a 50-preset render and audio check, and an expanded feature suite covering MIDI learn, controller modes, macro/morph/LFO audio, chance and ratchets, the sequencer's RUN transport (play engages SEQ, presets keep playback, MIDI releases the latch), host PPQ seeks, dense automation at 44.1/48/96 kHz, DPI behaviour, logo/raster agreement, the update-check version comparison with all three of its result dialogs, the fetch itself against a local server that answers the same request the button makes, and the About card's links and dismissal. Both pass at 100%.

DAW drag/drop and physical high-DPI hardware still need manual host testing. See G-AcidBase/feature-verification.txt and G-AcidBase/README.md inside the archive.
