v0.5.2
Fix
- Clicking outside Omalaunch on another monitor now closes the launcher (#78).
- Keyboard input and same-monitor outside-click dismissal remain available.
Compatibility
No new dependencies or migration steps.
Verification
All 31 local test files and release PR checks passed. The fix was tested on a multi-monitor installation.
v0.5.1
Correction
Omalaunch now keeps its application-library fallback available if Omarchy destroys the injected shell API while the menu remains loaded. This addresses the empty Apps list and missing application search results reported in #75.
The unused fallback enable switch has been removed. The host's shared library still takes priority. The fallback loads only when no shared library is available and a service source is set. Menu destruction still releases the fallback and its launch feedback.
Verification
- All local tests passed, including the shell-object destruction regression test.
- Desktop checks passed on Intel with Omarchy 4.0.3-1 and M1 with Omarchy 4.0.1-2: Apps, Apps search, root search, and reopening after a plugin rescan.
- No new dependencies or configuration changes are required.
Update
omarchy plugin update quantumfire.omalaunch
omarchy restart shellRestart the shell so the updated QML replaces the cached menu. Issue #75 remains open pending confirmation from the reporter.
Omalaunch v0.5.0
Extension management
- Open the hosted extension marketplace in your browser.
- Install extensions from Git repository URLs in an interactive terminal.
- Remove external plugins from the Ctrl+K action menu, with a warning that lists the affected extensions.
- Add icons and action-specific dependency checks to Add Extension.
No configuration migration is required. Git installation uses the existing Omarchy plugin commands and xdg-terminal-exec. Only install plugins you trust.
Omalaunch v0.4.1
Fixes
- Restore installed application lists and search when Omarchy does not supply the shared app library, as can occur on Omarchy 4.0.3 (#69).
- Stop pending application-list updates when the menu is destroyed, preventing delayed callback errors during plugin reload (#69).
- Fix icon refresh on the newer scoped app-library API. Refresh no longer remains pending while waiting for a signal that the API does not provide (#70).
Compatibility
The shared app library remains the first choice. When it is unavailable, Omalaunch loads an independent instance of Omarchy's installed application service. This keeps the service's application filtering, icons, and launch behavior without changing system files. If that service cannot load, application results remain unavailable, but other menu commands still work.
No new package dependencies or configuration changes are required.
Omarchy plugin updates follow master, not release tags. This release provides a fixed reference point for the tested changes.

Omalaunch v0.2.0
Omalaunch v0.2.0
- Add actionable menu extensions with host-rendered actions, confirmations, input forms, contextual actions, stars, and optional global search.
- Add provider-owned configuration and state storage. Replacement providers do not inherit another provider’s data.
- Migrate favorites from the released shared-favorites store into provider-owned state. The migration is safe, repeatable, and keeps the source data.
- Bundle the URL-only Quicklinks provider with add, edit, delete, copy, browser-profile opening, filtering, global search, and stars.
- Add
rankByUsagefor bundled Quicklinks. It defaults to enabled and does not apply to replacement providers. - Do not import data from external or unreleased Quicklinks implementations.
- Require Python 3 for extension loading, provider storage, migrations, Quicklinks, and the file index. Existing bundled features retain their documented dependencies, including
qalc,fd,fzf, andjq. - Omarchy delivers plugin updates from the repository default branch. This tag and release provide an immutable reference and rollback point; they do not control installation.
