Bed Respawn

Overview

The Bed Respawn feature addresses the inconvenience of having a static respawn location by allowing players to set their respawn point when interacting with beds. This provides more flexibility in managing spawn locations throughout your world.

How It Works

When you interact with a bed, you'll be prompted to set your respawn point to that location. This gives you control over where you'll respawn after death, rather than being locked to a single static location.

Configuration Options

Access these settings through the pause menu → VP Settings → Bed Respawn

Always Set Respawn	When "Don't Ask Again" is enabled: If ON, always set respawn point. If OFF, never set respawn point.	true

Usage

1. Default Use:

   • Interact with any bed
   • A dialog will appear asking if you want to set your respawn point
   • Choose "Yes" or "No"
   • Optionally check "Don't ask again" to automate future interactions, it will preserve "Yes", or "No" for all future interactions when selected

2. Automated Mode:

   • Once "Don't Ask Again" is enabled, bed interactions will automatically set (or not set) your respawn based on the "Always Set Respawn" setting
   • You can always change these settings through the VP Settings menu

Technical Details

• Compatibility: Works with vanilla beds and most modded beds that follow standard naming conventions or have the isBed attribute
• Network Sync: Your preferences are synced between client and server
• Per-Player: Settings are stored per-player on their machine.
