Fixes:

• Fixes the packaged desktop startup crash from v0.14.0-ba.3: node-mpv is now bundled into the Electron main process output instead of being left as a missing runtime dependency inside app.asar.
• Adds a release gate that fails if the Electron main bundle contains a bare runtime node-mpv import again.
• Normalizes and checks Windows release metadata so latest.yml points at the x64 installer at top level and all expected installer/blockmap assets are present.

Notes:

• The MPV controller package is bundled. The external MPV binary itself is still not bundled; install MPV or configure its path in Settings > Audio.
• Users already stranded on v0.14.0-ba.3 may need to run this installer manually once because that broken version can crash before its updater UI starts.

Changes:

• Adds MPV as the default Electron desktop song playback engine for this fork.
• Keeps Web audio for web builds, radio, podcasts, and visible emergency fallback if MPV cannot start or load.
• Adds MPV settings for selecting MPV/Web and configuring a custom MPV binary path.
• Preserves reverse-proxy BasicAuth secrecy: Electron main injects MPV HTTP header fields for configured protected origins without exposing proxy credentials to the renderer, URLs, logs, process args, or release metadata.
• Adds unit coverage for desktop MPV defaulting, web fallback behavior, MPV BasicAuth header field generation, and stream credential redaction.

Notes:

• MPV is not bundled in this release. Install MPV or configure the binary path in Settings > Audio.
• ReplayGain remains Web-only in this first MPV pass.
• This is an experimental desktop playback fix aimed at high-resolution/lossless stream instability and victoralvesf#366-style playback failures.

• Requests server-side opus transcoding for .m4a streams so ALAC containers can play through Chromium/Electron.
• Uses song metadata duration when a transcoded stream reports infinite duration.
• Tightens player component coverage for .m4a stream URLs, infinite-duration fallback, and repeat-all vs repeat-one loop behavior.

Notes:

• Reviewed victoralvesf#366, but this release does not claim to fix that issue. The native audio element still drives track-end advancement; proving victoralvesf#366 needs a reproducible stream/media case.
• This fork remains scoped to reverse-proxy BasicAuth support. General Aonsoku issues are out of scope here unless they directly affect this fork's BasicAuth patch or are deliberately carried as narrow upstream-development fixes.

Public validation prerelease. Initial Aonsoku BasicAuth fork release with reverse-proxy BasicAuth support for the Electron desktop client. Manual desktop smoke testing passed against a protected server, including browsing, playlist access, cover art, and playback. Full BasicAuth release gates passed on the recreated real GitHub fork, including Traefik/Navidrome smoke harness and Windows packaging.
