Important

While many softlocks have been fixed. Some softlocks may still occur. Some areas were untested such as Green Route 3 and many Hilbert Hotel rooms. Please bring my attention to them in Discord if they occur.

Note

Minimum version of the APWorld is now 0.6.7.
THE APWORLD HAS NO UPDATE FOR THIS RELEASE, IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE UPDATED.

Mod Fixes

  • Fixed several soft locks that could occur if a location was collected: (Thanks DJN for providing files to diagnose this issue)
    • Yellow Mask (Softlock fix was added)
    • V.I.P. Ticket (Softlock fix was added)
    • Death Mountain King Gordo Reward (No Fix added. Was unsure if it did softlock.)
    • Dragon Soul Weapon (No Fix added. Was unsure if it did softlock.)
  • Prevented the following items being given by default (If the location was done already):
    • V.I.P Ticket
    • Yellow Mask
    • All Weapons

There may be more cases of these issues that need to be fixed.

Installation

Melonloader

Melonloader is required to play with this mod. However reinstalling it is not required on update.

You can find Everhood 2's folder by finding the game in your steam library, right clicking it and choosing Manage→Browse Local Files.

Windows

  1. Download MelonLoader.Installer.exe from https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader/releases/latest and run it.
  2. Select Everhood 2 in the list of games.
    • If Everhood 2 does not appear, click add game manually then browse to Everhood 2 .exe.
  3. Click install.
    • If the latest version is not working: Untick Latest and select 0.7.2

Linux

  1. Navigate to Everhood 2 on steam, open properties and add the following to Launch Options: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b" %command%
  2. Download MelonLoader.Installer.Linux from https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader/releases/latest and run it.
    • You may need to give it permissions to execute.
  3. Select Everhood 2 in the list of games.
    • If Everhood 2 does not appear, click add game manually then browse to Everhood 2.exe.
  4. Click install.
    • If the latest version is not working: Untick Latest and select 0.7.2

Mod Install

1.Download ArchipelagoEverhood.zip.
2. Head to the Everhood 2 folder and open up /mods/. If this folder does not exist, run the game and it should appear.
3. Extract the contents of the .zip file into mods. Ensure the files are not in a subfolder, this mod is not setup for that yet.
4. Run the game. If a new button appears on the start screen the mod was installed correctly.
