BetterBars 3.1
The bars sit where the client puts them, everything is measured against the
real UI scale, and the abyssal charge bar gets an optional restyle of its own.
Bars
- Vanilla anchoring. The frames sit exactly where the client puts them, so
the name, level, buffs and surrounding furniture line up the way vanilla
intends. 3.0's styling is untouched — it is the re-anchoring machinery behind
it that is gone. - Correct UI scaling. Borders, gaps and offsets are computed against the
real UI scale rather than assuming 100% (the option slider's "80" applies
0.85, "90" applies 0.93), so a 1px border stays 1px at any scale.
Abyssal charge bar (opt-in)
The client's own charge display, restyled in place: lightning-medallion pips,
lit and unlit, with a size slider from 8 to 69 and spacing that follows the pip
size. Charges read as whole numbers, exactly as vanilla shows them.
Off by default. It is the one part of this addon that is not a unit frame,
so you switch it on yourself under BARS → Abyssal — and switching it back off
hands the client's own bubble art straight back, immediately, without waiting
for your next charge.
Colours
- "Not my target" enemies use the deeper preemptive-strike red the newer client
uses. - Bloodlust no longer turns your own bar red.
- Pet frame heights corrected.
Info tags
Class, gear score and guild labels are target-frame only, and click-through —
they no longer eat clicks meant for the frame underneath.
Settings
- The colour wheel hit-tests correctly at every UI scale, and its hairline
borders stay one pixel everywhere. - The HP / MP / Enemy swatches sit evenly across the panel.
- Registers with ESCMenu when it is
installed, so BetterBars gets a row in the ESC menu. The Addon Options panel
is still there for everyone else.
