FlowForge 1.5.0: AI voice agents

FlowForge 1.5.0 adds Voice agents: AI agents that answer and make phone calls, book appointments and pass every call to your workflows.

What's new

• Voice agents in the sidebar, with Agents, Calls and Bookings pages.
• 8 templates: clinic receptionist, salon booking, restaurant reservations, lead qualification, appointment reminder, support line, real estate and feedback survey. Or describe an agent and AI writes it.
• Free browser conversations: talk to any agent in your browser, using the AI model from Settings → AI builder. No phone number needed.
• Real phone calls through Vapi or ElevenLabs. Both have free tiers to start. FlowForge publishes the agent, its booking tool and your number for you.
• Call history: recordings, transcripts, summaries and the details each call captured.
• Bookings made during calls, listed in your timezone.
• Workflows: "When a voice call ends" and "When a caller books" triggers, a "Call a phone number" action, and 4 templates (Google Calendar, Slack, email, call new leads).
• The AI Builder and MCP agents can create voice agents.

How to update

• From 1.4.0: Settings → Updates → Download and install 1.5.0.
• From 1.3.x or 1.0.0: download flowforge-update-1.5.0.zip below, then upload it in Settings → Updates.
• New installation: flowforge-install-1.5.0.zip. See the installation guides.

FlowForge 1.4.0: one-click updates

FlowForge 1.4.0 adds one-click updates: FlowForge now finds new versions on GitHub and installs them for you.

What's new

• One-click updates. Settings → Updates checks GitHub for a new release and shows what's new. When you click Download and install, FlowForge downloads the update and verifies its SHA-256 checksum. Then it backs up the current code, swaps in the new version and updates the database. If anything fails, it rolls back.
• "Update" badge on Settings when the daily check finds a newer version. Nothing is installed until an admin clicks.
• Uploading the update zip by hand is still there, under "Install from a zip file instead".
• Forks: set FLOWFORGE_UPDATE_REPO=your-name/your-repo in .env to update from your own releases.

The version jumps from 1.0.0 to 1.4.0 so installs from before the public release (1.3.x) can update in place.

How to update

• From 1.0.0 or 1.3.x: download flowforge-update-1.4.0.zip below. In Settings → Updates, drop it in the upload box and click Install update. Your settings, credentials, workflows and run history stay as they are. From now on, updates are one click.

FlowForge 1.0.0: open-source workflow automation for PHP hosting

FlowForge 1.0.0 is the first public release: open-source, self-hosted workflow automation that runs on ordinary PHP shared hosting. It's an n8n and Zapier alternative with 1,190 apps, an AI workflow builder and an MCP server, and one cron job runs everything.

Install in 5 minutes

1. Create an empty MySQL database and a user in your hosting panel. You need PHP 8.2+.
2. Upload flowforge-install-1.0.0.zip to your domain's folder (e.g. public_html) and extract it.
3. Open https://your-domain.com/install and follow the wizard.
4. Add the one cron job it shows you (or click Set it up for me).
