FlowForge 1.4.0 is the first public, open-source release (AGPL-3.0), with one-click updates: FlowForge finds new versions on GitHub and installs them for you.

What's new

  • One-click updates. Settings → Updates checks GitHub for a new release and shows what's new. When you click Download and install, FlowForge downloads the update and verifies its SHA-256 checksum. Then it backs up the current code, swaps in the new version and updates the database. If anything fails, it rolls back.
  • "Update" badge on Settings when the daily check finds a newer version. Nothing is installed until an admin clicks.
  • Uploading the update zip by hand is still there, under "Install from a zip file instead".
  • Forks: set FLOWFORGE_UPDATE_REPO=your-name/your-repo in .env to update from your own releases.

Versions 1.0 to 1.3 were builds from before the public release, so the public history starts at 1.4.0.

How to update

  • From 1.0.0 or 1.3.x: download flowforge-update-1.4.0.zip below. In Settings → Updates, drop it in the upload box and click Install update. Your settings, credentials, workflows and run history stay as they are. From now on, updates are one click.
  • New installation: upload flowforge-install-1.4.0.zip to your hosting, extract it and open /install. Guides for Hostinger hPanel, cPanel and VPS: https://developersarim.github.io/FlowForge/
