Subly makes captions for your videos right on your Mac: the transcript, the same words in English letters (for example Hinglish), and a translation, all in sync. Nothing is uploaded.

New in 1.2: Subly learns how you spell
Hinglish has no single spelling. You might write "ye", someone else "yah" or "yeh". Now Subly follows you:
- Fix a word once. Change "yah" to "ye" in a caption and Subly remembers it.
- Every new caption uses your spelling, in new videos, Listen Again, re-cuts and added tracks.
- Fix the rest in one click. A banner offers to fix the other places in the video, or to take it back with Don't Learn. Undo takes it back too.
- You're in charge. Settings › Languages › Your spellings lists what Subly learned. Forget one word or all of them, or switch learning off.
- It learns only true respellings (same sounds, different letters) in English-letters captions. Rewording, grammar fixes and punctuation are never learned. In transcripts and translations, only brand capitals like "iPhone" are.
Also in this release
- The app's acknowledgements now include the full Whisper (MIT) and Apache 2.0 licence texts.
- A smaller download: the app no longer carries debug data, and there are no build paths inside.
- Clearer wording: automatic language detection needs the free Whisper model.
